Preparation of Financial Statements for Accounting Clients working with Sage (Peachtree) Accounting
Software, which is very similar to Quick Books Software. Auditing Records for clients as well as for the
Internal Revenue Service and State of Alabama. Payroll Reports to include completing payroll checks,
tax deposits, payroll quarterly reports, and end-of-the year W2 statements or any 1099 statements.
Preparation of Tax Returns, to include, individual returns, corporate returns, partnership returns, non-
profit returns or e-cards, State of Alabama returns as well as out-of-state returns. Other duties preparation
of Privilege Tax Returns, IFTA Reports, 2290 Reports, Sales Tax Returns (includes: Alabama, various
cities, and Counties), Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Applying for Federal Id Numbers, Business
Registration Accounts....etc. Familiar software includes Sage (Peachtree) Accounting and Payroll Program,
QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word or Works, Microsoft Outlook, Taxwise Tax Preparation
Software, and a variety of other including security software systems. Management of the Office included
assigning jobs to assistants, upkeep of the computers or other general equipment, organization of
office files and supplies etc. and cleaning and maintenance of the office. Continuing Education courses
maintained and testing that is required.

January 1990 to August 1997
Management included making sure employees hours were correct for shifts, came in on time,
left on time, and also had to drive a cook to work occasionally. Payroll hours and paycheck were
correctly issued. Helped make up menus for lunch hours and copied. Cleaning and maintenance of
the restaurant to maintain standards for the inspectors. If needed, the opening and closing of the
restaurant. Cashier, waitress, and cook(temp if a no show until a cook came in). I graduated from
high school in the year 1992 before I graduated I worked at Betty's Accounting & Taxes since I was
around 12 years of age copying and filing files as well as learning some accounting and tax skills. The
Ice House and the Restaurant opened before I graduated as well, therefore I completed my duties
during this time the best I could. The Restaurant was mainly on weekends and nights as well as the Ice
House. After High School, part-time between the restaurant and the Ice House and full-time at Betty's
Accounting & Taxes as well as continuing my education in all four colleges I attended. All three jobs
were family owned businesses by my mother Betty Carmichael, which allowed me to work back and
forth and attend college classes, complete assignments, and study when necessary.

Front Cashier and cleaning of the business. Performed various other odd duties. Helped with payroll
hours and paychecks. When a small to-go restaurant was put in place there I took orders, cooked,
served, cleaned.

Continuing Education courses have been kept maintained in Tax Preparation. Completed the required
hours to set for my CPA although have not completed the exam-to-date, which is a major goal I have
set to complete.
