01 AVM
PAVILION

The AVM Pavilion is my design-build

graduation project. The pavilion
is located on the campus of the
American University of Sharjah right
next to the Architecture building.
It is an intriguing shaded structure
for students to hang out or to get
inspired when they go outdoors
for a break. It took 5 months to be
completed - 3.5 months for design
and fabrication and 1.5 months for
installation and building. All of which
was done by us !
UNI T DEVELOPMENT C OLOR STUDY
The pavilion design is inspired by nature ,the The Pavilion’s color was based on the examination
Dipcadi Serotinum plant in particular. The unit of the flowers’ color gradient. We used three
shape and form was derived from the plants different line gradients to create a pattern that
flower after thorough research and analysis. mimics that of the flower in a unique way.

TOP SKIN STRUCTURE BOTTOM SKIN UNIT TYPE A UNIT TYPE B UNIT TYPE C
C OLOR BLEED
One goal we had in mind while designing
the pavilion was to create a magical
color bleed which would be visible to the
people standing/sitting under the pavilion.
We were able to achieve it by increasing
the density of the color gradients that are
closer to the unit’s openings. The color
bleed has a different effect at different
times of the day, all of which are truly
beautiful!
02 TARKEEB
DISPLAY WALL

The Tarkeeb Display Wall is a revamp

project of a corner at the Architecture
building in the American University of
Sharjah. The previous corner was a
standard white painted wall. On the
other hand, the Tarkeeb Wall features
benches for students to wait for their
printing jobs to finish and display
shelves to exhibit students’ work.
03 UBER
STATION

The Uber Station is a playful Uber

pick up point located at the entrance
of Soho Garden Club in Dubai. Its an
upgraded replacement to the typical
Uber pick up points , which are usually
a post with a sign. This station allows
those waiting for their Uber to hang out
or have a go on the swings making
their waiting time feel shorter.
04 LOUVRE A D
OPENING

Louvre Abu Dhabi Opening was a

global event that lasted for one week.
The opening night was only for invitees
including the Sheikh of the UAE and
the French president. The rest of the
week was open for the public. I was
part of the louvre event design team
both before the event (off-site) and
during the event (on-site). We created
the opening night theme, designed he
main stage over the water, produced
all required drawings and worked on
all other design related aspects.
OPENING NIGHT THEME
Jean Nouvel’s vision for the dome of the louvre was to create a “rain of lights”, thus,
we decided to resemble his vision in the opening night. This was achieved through
computerized lights placed between the inner and outer layer of the dome.

COUNTDOWN TO ZERO

The countdown to zero exhibition was

part of the Carter Center guinea worm
disease awareness campaign. The
educational exhibition was created
in a dome structure and located at
the financial center of Abu Dhabi.
The exhibition’s layout was designed
in a way that took the visitors in a
spiral journey in which each circle
represents a zone that covers a
different area of the topic.
EXHIBITION ELEMENTS
The Countdown to Zero is made
up of five zones in which each
zone contains information about
different aspects of the guinea worm
disease. The visitors are introduced
to the information at each zone in a
different way. The information is either
displayed, heard, or seen through
interactive screens. There are also
different educational games all of
which makes the visitors educational
journey memorable and fun.

100 YEAR S MENA

DRAWINGS
The Thomson Reuters 100 Years in
the MENA region installation consisted
of 100 hanging balls around Dubai
International Financial Center leading
to a platform with interactive tablets.
The tablets show information about the
journey of Reuters in the MENA region.
The hanging balls created a compelling
photo oppurtunity and triggered the
curiosity of those passing by , making
them folllow the balls until they reach the
Reuters Platform.

HOTEL LOBBY

The design of the Park Inn lobby area

was driven by the client’s interest in
using marble and wood with a touch
of gold. We used these elements to
create a lobby that is classy yet con-
temporary in order to fit in with the
Park Inn style and identity.

WORK

The AVM Pavilion project was a very

interesting project for me. Looking at

Arinbia Linearifolia
plants for inspiration and creating forms
that resemble their characteristics was
something I wanted to explore more.
I examined 4 other native plants and
created paper models and 3D models
of them. After that, I chose the one
that I thought works best in tiling and

Desert Hyacinth
developed it further.
DESER T HYCANI TH PAVILION
I further developed the unit inspired by the desert hycanith plant and and used
it to create an interesting unique pavilion.

UBER STATION V2
After my first Uber Station ,

THE GEOMETRIC
Uber came back for more!
Unfortunately , I had to leave the company I was working for so I couldn’t
complete the job. However, here are the options I created for the “con-
cept design” stage. This Uber station would have been placed in Dubai’s
Design District , thus, the intention was to create something creative and
interesting while maintaining a low budget.
