Our objective is to measure the efficiency of installing tablets in schools in the rural
area. Given that the entire process is funded by the CSR activities of companies,
hence it is not only important to measure how well the campaign is being adopted in
the rural areas but also the improvements happening in the school children.
To understand the above parameters, we have selected the below metrics –
1) Reach: There are two ways to understand the overall reach of this campaign
a. Access – This will explain how many students have access to the
tablets by measuring the total sales
b. Attendance Increment – Here we will measure the increase in
attendance of the students after getting access to the tablets. The
assumption is that these tablets generate interest among the students
and also teachers have a better tool to impart education – both of these
factors should eventually increase attendance. To measure this, the
teachers can take attendance using the tablet itself.

2) Active Time: This will measure the time that a student is active on tablet.
Using this, we can understand if the students spend enough time on the tablet
which implies the quality of the tablet content is good. It also implies the
student is interested in the content provided

3) Incremental scores and level of difficulty: Using the tests or quizzes(can be


conducted in the form of games also) taken by students we can measure the
increase in scores along with increase in level of difficulty for every student.
This will help us in gauging the overall learning of students and will let us
improve the content quality.

4) Feedback System: After the end of every course or module, the students as
well as the teachers can be asked to provide feedback to improve our content

5) Leaderboard: To generate interest among students of the same class in a


particular area, we can have leaderboard to induce competitiveness(fun
factor) among students. The teachers can also organize on-the-spot group
competition

6) Video Testimonials: To ensure endorsements by teachers and students, the


teacher and students can upload video testimonials. For this, we can provide
some incentives also.

7) Special Occasions: To generate interest, we can also provide interesting facts


or history of the local festivals happening in the particular rural area.

To get all this data, internet connection once in a month should be sufficient.
