Happy holidays to all of you. Let us do some constructive and

investigative research to make our summer break productive, and engaging. As you
all are aware, the theme of our Annual exhibition is –

1. Save Water
2. Save Energy
3. Celebrating Mathematics

Your holiday assignment has been designed in such a way that you touch and learn
from all the three different aspects of the theme.

Learning Objectives

1. To learn ways to conserve water and energy.

2. To assess the role and methods used by the communities /individuals in the
conservation of water and energy.
3. To appreciate the efforts of ancient mathematician in the development of
modern math’s and also analyze the ancient devices and their accuracy.
4. To investigate the success of river water conservation project in India.
5. To devise interactive methods to make math’s more interesting.

Class VI
 Students have to prepare
a scrapbook, PPT or a project file on conservation of water by communities and
individual around the world

Following parameters should be to be a part of the assignment

 What is water conservation?

 Why is conservation of water required?
 Ways adopted by community or individual in conservation of water.
 Results of their conservation methods.

Note:- your power point presentation should not exceed by 12 slides.

Class –VII

The topic for class seventh will be successful conservation of energy by

communities and individuals around the world. You have to prepare scrapbook,
ppt or project file on the topic mentioned above.

Following parameters needed to be part of your assignment

 What is energy conservation?

 Why is conservation of energy needed?
  Ways adopted by community or individual in conservation of energy.
 Alternative sources of energy.
 Results of their conservation methods.

Note:- Your power point presentation should not exceed by 12 slides.

Class VIII

Celebrating international year

mathematics class VIII will be making project file, scrapbook or power point
presentation on the ancient mathematician around the world, their inventions
with special reference to India.

Class IX and X
 Topic for class ninth and tenth will be river water conservation project in
India example –Ganga action plan, meri Delhi meri Yamuna etc

You have to make a scrapbook, power point or project file on the above topic
and include following parameters

 Importance of river in human life.

 Causes of river pollution .
 Government efforts in conservation of these rivers.
 Success or failure of Ganga Action plan.
 Suggestive measures for the conservation of rivers.
