grace to amend and to persevere in Thy Holy service till death, and afterwards in Your
Eternal Grace. Amen.

impurities and impertinent thoughts, inflame our will, so that with all our hearts, we may
meditate the way of Your Sacred Passion and death, with the dolorous pain of your
Blessed Mother and make us worthy to be heard before the throne of your Divine
Majesty who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, forever and ever. Amen.

THE APOSTLES’ CREED
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in
Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy
Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died
and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day He rose again. He
ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again
to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church,
the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life
everlasting. Amen.
ACT OF CONTRITION
O Holy Spirit, come into my soul, that I may discover all the sins I have
committed and grant me the grace to be sorry for them in all humility and contriteness of
heart.
I come, therefore, contrite and repentant, but with a heart overflowing with
boundless gratitude, to your Holy presence which you deigned to grant to a prodigal
child like me.
What shall I render to You for all the good You have done for me? Lord, I am
sorry for all my sins. I promise not to sin again, for I love You. Amen.

not undergo the pains of hell, but may come to the possession of eternal joys.
Be merciful, O Lord, to the soul of ______________ and deliver him/her from the
deep pit and from the lion’s mouth so that hell may not swallow him/her up and may

him/her into the holy light which You have promised to Abraham and his seed. We offer
You, O Lord, sacrifices and prayers; do receive them on behalf of the soul of
