Omnitech’s Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) Services encompasses professional services in the
areas of Workplace Recovery, Data Vaulting, Remote Backup, DR Servers/Storage and Network
equipments Hosting, Auditing – DR Drills and so on.

Microsoft, Oracle, Citrix, APC, Intel and many more makes us add a distinctive edge to its

MANAGED WORKPLACE RECOVERY SERVICES – AN INSIGHT
Omnitech plans to offer Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity solutions on 4 (four) layers,
viz. Workplace, Equipment, Data, and People. Initially through Workplace & Equipment from its
state‐of‐the‐art recovery centers where one can avail of business recovery positions (seats).
This would be augmented by Data Vaulting Services and through state‐of‐the‐art Data Centers
(Tier III) even the 3rd layer, viz. Data and, eventually, this will be topped by providing the final
and the most important layer, viz. People.
The strategic rollout has 8 locations giving PAN INDIA resilience. These 8 are strategic locations
in India such as Mumbai, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune etc. Every city will have NEAR or
INTRACITY DR Site. These will be developed in satellite townships around the above mentioned
hubs.
Each DR site will double up as a FAR or INTERCITY DR site which ensures that you have a backup
are on a different seismic plate or far from the effects of a regional disaster.
The commercial offering includes Dedicated as well as Syndicated seats. Whereas the former
allows highest reliability the latter offers most cost effective yet highly reliable backup services.
The customer can pick and choose from Dedicated vs. Shared services and, even within the
latter one can pick up different ratios of syndication such as 1:3; 1:7 etc.
Adherence to International Standards and Practices
We have adhered to Singapore Standard – SS 507 – defined standards for all DR/BCP Service
Providers. The standard covers the following aspects applicable in the space of DR‐BCP: ‐
1. BCP‐DR framework which mentions the applicable standards, best practices, services,
underlying infrastructure, and the 6 Ps viz. Policies, Processes, Program, Performance
(measurement), People, and Products.
2. Scope and general definitions relevant to BCP‐DR.
3. Recommendations such as Proximity of services, risk mitigation, NDAs, shared services
ratios, 3rd party vendor management, critical equipment support, outsourced staff
management, contractual agreements, activation, deactivation, and review mechanisms.
4. Ideal layout, organization of the DRC along with suggested soft skills and training of the
support staff, access controls, power, fire and security, testing etc.
5. Various levels of capabilities acquired by service providers – such as equipment readiness,
simultaneous recovery support, levels and types of service, handling emergencies, proactive
local support etc.
We have our management teams completely aligned with “DRC Best Practices” – defined and
revised from time‐to‐time by globally accepted committees and expert panels. This is because
we believe in acquiring and retaining the “best of the breed” Human Resources!

OMNITECH’S PIONEERING ROLE IN INDIA
We do not believe in resting on laurels and continue to emerge as a stronger contender for
securing some of the top slots in the DR/BCP space in India. While Europe and the US have seen
significantly strong BCP Services players, there aren’t many such in the Indian subcontinent – at
least not where they offer DR/BCP as an exclusive, dedicated service.
Omnitech’s endeavor is to create unmatched, high caliber services in the DR/BCP domain and
our pioneering efforts manifest themselves through the many firsts that we have achieved. We
feel noting some of them here for your reference may be important and meaningful: ‐‐
• Launched India’s FIRST Managed Services DR/BCP Center at Navi Mumbai – Dec 2007
• First BCP services provider in India to have multi‐location presence as a result of our
second center being launched in Hyderabad – May 2009
• First BCP services provider in India to get a regulatory nod from DOT by securing an OSP‐
OSP (Other Services Provider) license – allowed to carry out 3rd Party Hot Site Services
• First BCP services provider in India to offer industry vertical based solution offering – be
that Banking (BFSI—through DR Solutions for Payment Gateways like RTGS, NDS etc.),
IT/ITES, Telco, and Manufacturing.
STRATEGIC THRUST – BUSINESS CONTINUITY SERVICES
As a public limited company that has been listed on India’s 2 premier stock exchanges – NSE &
BSE – we remain committed to our investors, shareholders, and the customers of continuing to
invest in the space of DR/BCP services—notwithstanding the global meltdown—and continue
with our plans of launching a total of 8 DR/BCP centers all over India by the end of calendar
2010. We are also exploring the possibility of setting up 2 International DR/BCP centers in
locations such as Mauritius and Dubai!
We have planned investment outlays for this initiative which is approved by our board.
We have aligned ourselves with one of the Big 4 and have ensured that each of our initiative in
the space of creation of DR/BCP sites would be under their consultation, guidance, and
approval. This can be demonstrated if required.

SCALABILITY OF OPERATIONS
Omnitech is prepared completely to scale up to any level (of seats) as projected and confirmed
by customers. We have strategic alliance with a property developer/builder who has an
extensive reach across India and who would be in a position to offer best of locations at
predetermined conditions within short time spans. We have undergone a learning curve which
empowers us to replicate our state‐of‐the‐art centers within the duration of 18 to 20 weeks at
finalized sites, given that the building shell is ready
