Computer is an electronic device that stores, retrives and procsses data

and can be programmed with instruction.
A computer is composed of hardware and software, and can exist in a
variety of size and configuration

Divide into two parts

 Hardware
The term hardware refers to the psycal components of your
computer such as the system unit, mouse, keypad, monitor etc.

 Software
Is the instruction that makes the computer work. Software is held
either on your computer hard disk, CD-ROM, DVD or on a diskette,
(floppy disk) an is loaded (i.e copied) from the disk into the
computer RAM (Random Access Memory) as and when required.

 Network

Network is a group connected system

 LAN (Local Area Network)

Is a computer network that interconect computers n a limited

area such as a home, school, computer laboratory, or office
building using network media.
The defining characteristics of LANs, in contrast, to wide area
network (WANs), include their usually higher data-transfer rates,
smaller geographics area, and lack of a need for leased
telecomunication lines.
 WAN (Wide Area Network)

Is a network that covers a broad area (i.e any telecommunications

network that link across metropolitan, regional, or national
boundaries) using private or public network transports. Business
and goverment entities utilize WANs to relay data among
employees, client, buyers, and supplier from various geographical
location in essence, this mode of telecommunication allow a
bussines to effectively carry out its daily function regardless of
location. The internet can be considered a WAN as well, and is
used by business, goverments, organization, and individuals for
almost any purpose
