After you connect your phone to the PC with a USB data cable, the phone drive an
d PC assistant automatically finish the installation.

Power on your phone, and wait for complete initialization of the phone.
After you connect your phone to the PC with a USB data cable, the Vodafone PC As
sistant window is displayed on the PC.
The window provides three operations:
1) Switch the phone to the card reader. If a memory card is inserted in your pho
ne, the phone serves as a mobile storage device and provides the USB disk functi
on when you select this option.
2) Start the PC assistant. The PC assistant is started when you select this opti
on. You can manage and operate the short messages, contacts, and files in your p
hone through the PC.
3) Start dialup access to the Internet. The program for dialup access to the Int
ernet is started when you select this option. Your phone serves as a modem and p
rovides the service of dialup access to the Internet.
If you use the USB data cable to connect your phone for the first time, the PC a
ssistant installation program appears when you select Active Vodafone PC Assista
nt or Dialup Internet because the PC assistant is not installed.
If you have ever installed the Vodafone PC assistant with earlier version, a win
dow on the PC is displayed, prompting you whether to upgrade to the new version.
You can select to upgrade or not as required.

To install the PC assistant, do as follows:
1. The "Select Setup Language" window of the installation program is displayed.
You can select the installation language. After selection, click OK to continue,
or click Cancel to cancel the installation.
2. After you click OK, the "Welcome to the Vodafone PC Assistant" Setup Wizard w
indow is displayed. Click OK to continue, or click Cancel to cancel the installa
tion.
3. After you click OK, the License Agreement window is displayed. Read the agree
ment. If you accept the agreement, select "I accept the agreement" and click Nex
t to continue. Otherwise, click Cancel to cancel the installation. In addition,
you can click Back to view the previous settings.
4. After you click OK, the "Select Destination Directory" window is displayed. S
elect a folder for installing the Vodafone PC assistant and click Next, or click
Cancel to cancel the installation. In addition, you can click Back to view or m
odify the previous settings.
5. After you click OK, the "Select Start Menu Folder" window is displayed. Selec
t the program shortcut mode created in the start menu folder and click Next, or
click Cancel to cancel the installation. In addition, you can click Back to view
 or modify the previous settings.
6. After you click OK, the "Select Additional Tasks" window is displayed. Select
whether to create a Vodafone PC Assistant icon and/or a Vodafone Dialup Interne
t icon on the desktop and click Next, or click Cancel to cancel the installation
. In addition, you can click Back to view or modify the previous settings.
7. After you click OK, the "Ready to Install" window is displayed. You can view
all previous settings. Click Install to start installation, or click Cancel to c
ancel the installation. In addition, you can click Back to view or modify the pr
evious settings.
8. After you click OK, the Installing window is displayed. You can view the inst
allation progress.
9. The "Completing the Vodafone PC Assistant" Setup Wizard window is displayed.
Click Finish to finish the installation.

Instructions to install the drivers:
After the PC assistant is installed, the drivers will be automatically installed
. After the drivers are installed, the system prompts "Installing completed, ple
ase pull out the data line and restart your computer to use PC assistant" on the
PC. Restart the PC.
