Intel Corporation was founded on July 18, 1968, by semiconductor pioneers Robert
Noyce and Gordon Moore, and widely associated with the executive leadership and vision
of Andrew Grove. The company's name was conceived as portmanteau of the words integrated
and electronics. The fact that "Intel" is the term for intelligence information also made the name
appropriate. Intel was an early developer of SRAM and DRAM memory chips, which
represented the majority of its business until 1981. Although Intel created the world's first
commercial microprocessor chip in 1971, it was not until the success of the personal computer
that this became its primary business.

Human Rights: In the industry and others, Intel is taking more active roles in pushing for
improvements in policies and processes for managing human rights issues.
BENCHMARKING
The guidelines in this section are meant to be used in conjunction with sound general
benchmarking practices, such as the development of suitable and reproducible workloads, proper
documentation, and following all applicable guidelines when using publicly available
benchmarks. Documenting general benchmarking practices is beyond the scope of this article,
and the following list of best practices for virtualized benchmarking is not meant to be
exhaustive , but rather a point of departure for vendors to use in developing their own guidelines.
CPU considerations: Use the same number of CPUs in the virtualized environment as physical
CPUs in the non-virtualized environment
Memory considerations: Similarly to the CPU consideration listed above, configure the same
amount of virtual memory in the virtualized environment as there is physical memory in the non-
virtualized.
CHANGE MANAGEMENT AT INTEL
Intel is a change manager overseeing the planning and implementation of a change project.
Company may be at the beginning of the project, or may have been called in because the project
