Notice for safety
This user manual is made for easy using the device, further more it will be helpful your safety driving.
Before operating the device, read the manual carefully and follow these safety warnings in order to prevent the user’s property damage.
• If the device is relocated, then it may cause the camera angle changed simultaneously.
Before using the device, be sure to adjust the camera angle and double check it.
• Make sure that the device is installed in a proper place. If not, the video recording can not work well.
• Windows tinting may affect video quality, so avoid tinting windows deeply.
• Keep your vehicle windows always clean for the best video quality.
• The device is regarded as driving record equipment; driver or user may get the proper video images only in the normal conditions.

Even if you are not using it, keep the device within acceptable operating temperatures.

Precautions while Using

Before using the device, read the instructions carefully for proper use.
• When yyou first start usingg our device, check the recorded files after 5minutes filming.

After checking the device and SD card before recording, do double check that the installation method have no problem then you may
take recordings normally.

• Do not save any other files on SD card, it may cause malfunction or it may affect the storage capacity of recording.

• Do not remove SD card before cutting off the power of the device completely.

After turning off your engine, if you take out SD card from the device when LED is still on, then the last recorded file cannot be saved.

• Keep the memory capacity of SD card more than 300MB for normal recordings.
If the capacity is less than that, it may not record properly.

• For more safely using SD card, we highly recommend you keep to format SD card regularly; it can prevent SD card error effectively.

• After long time recording usage with enclosed SD card, it may not work well due to its own limited write/read cycles.
Replace it with new one, or else we will not take any responsibilities for such case.

• Use the most reliable SD card for the device.


We will not take any responsibility for damages or problems caused by other branded SD card instead of using the enclosed SD card.
It may cause bad quality of recordings by using less reliable SD card.

Precautions while Using

Whenever possible, move and park your vehicle in a shady area.

• If you park the vehicle outside for a long time, remember to cut off the power supply from the device.
Or else it may cause malfunction of the device due to the extreme high temperature.
• If the inside vehicle temperature raised to over 80℃, the device is automatically cut off the power due to the auto power off
circuit built-in it.

If you connect the permanent power in parking mode, vehicle battery begins to be discharged.

• The decrepit vehicle or long-term parking can be discharged easily.


• If you connect to permanent power in parking mode, vehicle battery can be totally discharged.
• The device has built in Low Voltage Cut Off circuit, so it may prevent the vehicle battery from totally discharging in parking mode.

Due to SD card is regarded as consumable items, keep to check and maintain it.

• The period of the repair warranty of SD card is 6 months from the date of purchase.
• If it has passed its warranty, we will not take any responsibilities.
• We highly recommend you format SD card every 1 month.

Recording Mode

There are four types of recording modes, in addition it supports the photo function also.

Driving Recording Mode?


When the ignition turns on, the device will begin recording automatically till the
ignition turned off.
In driving mode, all video and audio recordings are saved in “Driving" folder.

Event Recording Mode?


In the case of an impact, event recording mode will be activated through G-
sensor detector and the recorded files will be saved in “Event” folder.

Parking Recording Mode?


If a movement is detected through motion-sensor in parking mode, the
recordings can be activated and start filming for one min max recording length.

Manual Recording Mode?


This mode is only for a particular landscape or a specific place that you want to
record rather than filming an accident.

- Once your recording has started, each folder is being created based on date
and time sequence on SD card.
After that, each file will be generated exactly the same way as folders.
- Each file is named into the current recording date and time in chronological order.
The filename is consisting of “REC
REC_2012_07_12_12_32_56.avi
2012 07 12 12 32 56 avi”, and it indicates
that the file was generated on July 12th 2012 at 12:32:56pm.
- Basically the recording length is one minute only for each file.
- Each file is created in a folder with name as current “date and time”, and the
maximum recording time depends on the capacity of the SD card.

Impact Detection(G-sensor)

“EVENT” Folder

- When an impact is occurred based on your registered data(adjust the value in
configuration), alarm will beep once in shortly and REC LED lamp flashes.
Basically the driving mode is automatically changed to event recording mode.

- Once the recording has started,

and 10 seconds after the impact. Each file will be created in the “EVENT” folder,
and the max recording time will be up to 20 seconds long.

- If the power goes out while the device still works, all current recordings will be
saved immediately. You can reboot the system by reconnecting the power.

- Parking recording mode will be only activated when the device is connected
by permanent power.

- After ACC power goes off, around 30 seconds later the parking mode
is getting started.

When ACC power goes on, around 10 seconds later it automatically returns to
driving recording mode.
(In the case of the ignition turns on or ACC power is connected by vehicle key.)

- If a movement is detected, you can see REC LED lamp flashes once then goes off.

- The maximum recording time of each file will be up to 1 minute long from detecting
the first movement. New recorded file will be created continuously in the same way.

- When you press “manual REC” button on LCD screen by force,
it begins to record in the manual recording mode.
You can press the “manual REC” button once again for stopping the manual mode.

- Each file will be generated in the “MANUAL” folder,

Basic Operation

Start Up

Turn Power On
Switch on the ignition on or slide the power button on your left hand side
of the device to turn the device on.

After power is connected, it will automatically enter into the driving mode and start
recording.

Screen Recorder
It always records any sounds and pictures that you see on the screen.

Main Menu Bar


If you touch any spots, the menu bar will appear on the bottom of the screen
automatically.

After you start up the device,

It will return to main menu by clicking the button once.
There are three icons on the menu, including “Record” icon, “Playback” icon
and “Setting”g icon.

Photo Function
It is available for taking pictures by camera lens
(You can only start taking pictures after 10 sec later from creating the recording files.)

Manual Recording
It will enter into manual mode instead of driving mode.
(When an impact is occurred, the touch screen will be locked up or not responding.)

Audio Recording
You can click the button to start audio recording for saving sounds surrounding the
vehicle. You can click the same button to mute or unmute the sound.
Screen Switch
By default, you can see both main screen (recorded by front camera) and
sub screen (recorded by rear view camera) simultaneously all the time.
You can reverse front and rear view camera monitors alternately by clicking the icon.
LCD Off
By clicking this button to turn off the LCD back light, and if you click any spots
then LCD screen turns on again.

Recoding Folder
You can select any recording folders to play a specific file.
It consists of five different folders in file list,
including Driving / Event / Parking / Manual / Photo folder.

It Shows all files saved in the SD card, you can select a certain file to playback.
Previous / Next Page
It moves to the previous / next page of the file list.
As well you can see the page information,

Video Play
It plays back the recorded file immediately by clicking on a specific file in the file list page.

LCD Screen
A selected recorded file can be played on LCD screen.
When the current file has finished playing, it will auto play the next file in order.

It cuts to play the current file and moves to play the previous one.

You can turn on / off the voice guidance, and by default voice guidance is enabled.

During Driving
You can adjust the sensitivity level of impact sensor while driving,
and there are three levels of sensor available, Low/Normal/High.
If an impact is occurred based on user’s registered value during your driving,
it will automatically enter into event mode immediately.

During Parking
You can adjust the sensitivity level of impact sensor while parked,
and there are three levels of sensor available, Low/Normal/High.
If an impact is occurred based on user’s registered value while parked,
it will automatically enter into parking mode immediately.

™ Backlight Off Setting


Backlight Off
When you do not touch LCD screen for a period of time, the screen turns off
to conserve battery power.
You can change the length of time that the backlight stays on, in case of not
touching the screen.
Options include having the backlight timer: Turn off after
10 seconds / 20 seconds / 30 seconds/ Disable

But the backlight timeout will be disabled when the file plays back on LCD screen.

SD Card Format Alarm
We highly recommend you keep to format SD card regularly.
There are five notification options to alert your SD card needs format with

Every 1 month /2 months /3 months /4 months /12 months.

Note that it is just a recommendation for notification, and it will not format
SD card automatically by itself.

After the formatting is finished, all files will be lost and not recoverable and
the system is starting up automatically.
Before formatting SD card, you should backup all the essential files on your PC.

You can select the best type of the partition settings for your device based on your

Once you have select a specific type of recording partition, you should click “OK”
button to save the settings then close the setting box.

In order to prevent battery from totally discharging, you can choose one of the
recording time options to customize your settings, then it will automatically
cut off the power of the device when it reaches a user-defined setting.

You have four types of recording time in parking mode,

Over time you may notice that the icons and images on the screen do not figure
the correct message for the icon you selected. This is normal with a touch screen

With a stylus pen, press on the cross “+” icon and hold for some seconds.
After that the cross will move to the other section and follow the cross to travel
all points on the screen. (the center & all four corners)
Once the calibration is done, it will return to factoryy default settings.

You can act or process of calibrating again by stylus pen.

You should click “save” button to save your settings after you have done the
calibration manually.

Interworking With Navigation

Interwork with navigations.


The device can interwork with our brand navigation well, such as i7/CNS-300D/CNS-8000D.
After you using the enclosed USB cable to connect the device to your navigation, then you can playback any recorded files or customize
the settings of the device on navigation screen.
(USB cable is an optional product and sold separately.)

Operation on navigation
A. Connect the device and navigation by enclosed USB cable. (USB cable is an optional product and sold separately)
B. Click BLACK BOX (Sameview) icon on navigation.
C. You can choose to click “video playback” or “configuration” icon.
D. If you click “video playback” icon, then you can choose any recorded files to play it on navigation.
E. If you click “configuration” icon, then you can customize all the default settings. Do not forget to save your settings.

Execute Sameview Program


Double click “SameView” icon then PC viewer program will be run as shown
picture.

Video Calling Button


A button to call video player.

Select Drive Letter


Insert SD card on your computer, then check the drive letter.

If the recorded file does not appear in the file list aautomatically,

please check again that SD card has been connected correctly to your computer.

File List
Double click on the selected files from video file list or just click
the “play” button to playback a certain recorded file.

You can see four folders as shown picture in the file list, these are:
Driving REC folder/Event REC folder/Manual REC folder/Parking REC folder.
You can select either a file or folder from the video file list to playback
a certain recorded file

SD Card Auto Format(days)


Voice guide is supported while formatting SD card.

Press Voice REC button once within10 seconds after

Time Setting
Before using the device

Clock battery running time installed in the device is about one week.
If the device is off more than one week, recorded files will show the wrong date
and time.

G-Sensor Graph
G-sensor can measure how quickly a vehicle slows down in a frontal crash or
accelerates to the side in a side-impact crash.
G-sensor graph shows the variation of G-sensor.

In the case of an impact, the sensor will trigger the event recording mode from
driving mode.

System Information
It shows the system information of Sameview program.

Enlarge Screen
An enlarge screen will be displayed in a new window.
It allows you to quickly zoom in or magnify images of the current playing file by
clicking the button.

Video File Recovery


If a file appears to be simply damaged or cannot playback the recordings,
you can try to recover the file by pressing the button.
