Recommendation letter for Baritoadi Buldan Rayaganda Rito

As professor of the Master of Landscape Architecture Program (MLA) at Anhalt
University, I was asked by Baritoadi Buldan Rayaganda Rito if I could write a letter of
recommendation about his academic development and abilities after he finished the
second semester in the summer of 2013, a request which I am pleased to comply
with.
The Design Studio is the most important task in the first semester for all students. In
this studio, the studio members were working on the design for a Multigeneration
Park and a schoolyard in Dessau-Roßlau.
In addition to creative tasks, the students had to do minute site analysis concerning
the urban, landscape and social planning of the project area; the students were
asked to collaborate with children, teachers, parents, retirees, city authorities and the
investors during the research phase. Subsequently, Barito went on to work out a
design solution close to reality. The students submitted and successfully presented
their design proposals at some local conference in Dessau-Roßlau.
In the second semester the studio task was to develop a tourism concept for the city
of Bad Segeberg in the north of Germany. The students were asked to analyze the
situation carefully with the help of GIS-software and informations. Barito and his team
worked out the concept for the most difficult part of the city, the region around the
Großer Segeberger See.
From my personal experience with him, I can say that Baritoadi Buldan Rayaganda Rito
is a committed student who can build up on his large capacity for acquiring
knowledge. He is a student who takes tasks serious and fulfills them responsibly,
friendly, virtuously and with a great ability for systematic analysis. Barito can
furthermore draw on good insight as what distinguishes a landscape architect from a
conventional architect or urban planer. I consider this is a big step in the learning
process which Barito is going through.
Remarkably, Barito has proven willing to advice and teamwork with classmates, and
he was one of the most dedicated members in his project group.
For me it was a pleasure to have Barito among the students in my course.
I therefore lend him my support and would appreciate your favorable consideration of
