4. Dimensional Inspection/Check.
General.
Do a dimensional inspection on the items with an asterisk (*) only if a visual inspection or other
conditions show it is necessary.
Measure all diameters at eight equally spaced locations. Find the sum of the eight values and
divide by eight to calculate the average diameter.
Calculate the roundness of the diameter. Subtract the minimum diameter from the maximum
diameter and divide the difference by two.

"BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU APPLY PRESSURE. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT USE
WARNING: MORE THAN THE MAXIMUM PRESSURE. ALWAYS USE SAFETY SHIELDS
DURING THE TEST. RELEASE PRESSURE BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THE
LINES AND FITTINGS. A MALFUNCTION CAN CAUSE AN INJURY OR CAN KILL
YOU."
Do a pressure test of the No. 3 bearing aft stationary seal with the [856A1171G05 pressure
test fixture.] Refer to [Figure 801] and do as follows:
(1) Attach sealing plate and clamping plate (P19) on the seal with hand knob.
(2) Install the o-ring in the o-ring groove of stationary seal forward flange.
