Unimessage Pro + the New Unimessage Pro I-netportal Add-In kit

Minolta is pleased to announce that the Di200f, Di251f, Di351f as well as the Di250f and
Di350f will support powerful Network faxing capabilities with the new Unimessage Pro I-
netportal Add-In.

Please note that you will need Unimessage Pro (base software) PLUS the Unimessage
Pro I-netportal Add-In to perform network faxing for the above models. A package
containing both components has been created to simplify the ordering process. This package
is listed on the respective price sheets and initial order forms.

For your reference, the following chart specifies what is required (Unimessage Pro or
Unimessage Pro plus the I-netportal add-in) to enable network fax capabilities for the
indicated models:

Applications:

1) Network Faxing - enables the user to fax documents directly from the desktop. This
means that any documents that exist electronically and need to be sent to a facsimile
device for hard copy output can be faxed from the computer (it is also possible to
transmit to recipients that are using a PC or network fax solution). Network faxing
eliminates the need to take the electronic document, print it and then fax it!

2) Automatic Routing - Most departments have a common fax machine serving multiple
users. The problem is that many incoming faxes, especially those with multiple pages,
are not picked up as soon as they are received. What often results are pages out of order
or missing completely. With the powerful routing capabilities built into our network fax
solution, as soon as a fax is received, it can be forwarded simultaneously to any
predefined e-mail address or even multiple e-mail addresses. Plus, the transmitted
document can be routed to an e-mail address based on key words contained within the
document! (senders name or subject, for example.) The benefit is that the personnel of
any department (engineering, accounting, human resources etc.) are assured of receiving
the entire transmitted document, as soon as it was received, without having to go to the
fax machine to pick it up!

3) Legal Compliance - Many financial institutions (brokerage firms etc.) are legally
obligated to save all documents (electronic or hard-copy) that are either sent or received
from any of their offices or branch locations. In today’s volatile financial climate,
companies are under increasing pressure to strictly comply with this requirement. The
automatic routing capabilities provided by our Network Fax solution, allows these
companies to meet their legal obligations by automatically routing all incoming fax
documents to a predefined e-mail repository!

The Unimessage Pro I-netportal network (desktop) faxing solution provides many benefits:

Unimessage Pro I-netportal 5 User Version/1 Device is available directly from Minolta
Corporation. The software can be upgraded to support additional users and devices. To
obtain additional licenses and support more than one device, please contact Wordcraft
Technical Support Center @ 908-281-7038. Please note that Unimessage Pro I-netportal is
an “Add-In” software. The installation of Unimessage Pro (base software) is required before
I-netportal Add-In can be installed.

Aside from offering Network Faxing functions, Unimessage Pro I-netportal offers other
messaging capabilities (scanning, e-mail, OCR, etc.). We expect that the main purpose of the
Unimessage Pro I-netportal solution is to enable the Di250f, Di350f, Di200f, Di251f and
Di351f to perform Desktop or Network Faxing. Since Unimessage Pro acts as an SMTP e-
mail server, it can be used as such. In those cases where an e-mail server already exists (i.e.
MS Exchange), it is possible to integrate Unimessage Pro in the environment and have it
function as the e-mail client (instead of the e-mail server). This is critical in those accounts
that have already purchased a Network Application Kit or Network Application Kit-2 and are
using it for scan-to-e-mail. Please refer to the Unimessage Pro I-netportal Sales & Product
