Lesson Plan Format

Class: Year 2 Date: 30th August 2018 Time: 12:00-1:00pm


Key Learning Area: History Lesson Topic: Comparison of fire trucks
Recent Prior Experience: Prior to this lesson, students have had previous lessons engaging with what fire fighters do, identifying the purpose and parts of a fire truck and
how fire fighters help their community. Students understand the concept of change and continuity by identifying changes in their own life or their family’s life overtime.
Students have adequate understanding to explain how simple changes in the past produce a later effect on the development of technology. In this unit of work, students will
apply their knowledge and historical skills to the topic of change and continuity to explore the development of technology in the firefighting industry and how it effects
people’s lives overtime.
