Expected answer: - Self confident
“360 o” - Respect

- What is the equivalent value of 2 π ?

Expected answer:
“2 π =360 o”

- What is the formula of circumference of a

circle?
Expected answer:
“C = 2 πr ”

2
- What is the definition of one radian?
Expected answer:
“central angle whose subtending arc is
equal in length to the radius, r, of the
circle”

Step 1 Relation between radian 1.Teacher shows the various example between Teaching Aids - Full attention from
and degree. length of subtended arc and rad - Microsoft Power all students
(5 minutes) Point.
π rad = 180 o r r - Students give
180 o
Approach responds to
1 rad = r
π - Student centered teacher’s question
π
1o= rad Length of subtended arc = r ⇔ θ = 1 rad Method
180
Length of subtended arc = 2r ⇔ θ = 2 rad - Inductive
Length of subtended arc = 3r ⇔ θ = 3 rad
Technique
- 2-way interaction

- What do you expect about the angle of the CCTS
circle if the length of the subtended arc - Sequencing
equivalent to circumference of a circle? - Making inferences
Expected answer:
Length of subtended arc = 2π r ⇔ θ = 2π rad
Attitudes and value
- Respect

Circumfere nce of a circle = 2π r
- Self confidence

2. Teacher mention the case if

r = 1, then C = 2 π
= 360 o

3
- What is the relationship between angle at the
centre of a circle with 2 π rad?
Expected answer:
2 π rad = 360 o
