Maintaining the Cleanliness and Proper

Ways in Disposal of Garbage

TOPIC

I. Objectives of PBL Process

 Knowledge: Identify the basic and classroom content in context

 Skills: Acquire self-learning and problem solving

 Attitude: Appreciate the importance of teamwork and collaboration

II. The problem/ Issue

 It happens all the time in public or private school classroom became messy and
dirty were there are pieces of wrapper, can/ plastic bottle on the floor then left
the classroom everything disorganize.

 Reason 1: Non observance of cleanliness inside the classroom.

 Is laziness cause of being messy?

 What is the best way to make classroom clean all the time?

 How could be the teacher manage in his/her classroom?

 Reason 2: Not segregated garbage (mixed stuffs) in the trashcan.

 What must be the way so that children will follow order of throwing
their garbage?

 What is the benefits when we recycle the used materials?

 How can we help in our environment in the rapid growth of garbage

in the dump site?

III. Materials Needed

 Two labeled trashcan for biodegradable and non-biodegradable.

 Cleaning materials such as dust pan, soft brooms and hugs.

IV. Actions, solutions and Hypothesis

A. The teacher will;

 assign a group of cleaners each day.

 remind the children to dispose their garbage properly.

 implement the proper segregation of waste/ wastages.

 disciple the children to pick up any piece of papers/ cellophane beside

their desks.

 encourage the children to collect the possible stuffs for the process of
recycling and composing instead of burning it or throwing.

B. Hypothesis

 if the classroom is neat and clean all the time it builds what learners we
want for them to become. If they able to discipline their selves in small things is
more they will be appreciated in big things.

 if the children appreciate and take the responsibilities we are not only
building their minds but also implemented by values and forming them a good
person that will be a suit case of their journey.
 If the children will be presented the importance to recycling the waste (can,
plastic bottles, paper, cellophane etc.) they will use it for better living.

V. Conclusion

Cleanliness is incredibly important when it comes to cutting down on the spread of

diseases in the college (Cleaning Community). Cleanliness is essential in all aspect of
life in particular to our classroom. Waste that been collected can be put into landfills,
incinerated, recycled, or composted. The most sustainable way to manage waste is to
recycle and compost.
In addition, we look at the SAIT campus they are practicing segregation and
recycling stuffs (such as can, bottle), it is an important part of waste management. That
is why it starts in the classroom were the teacher is the role model and the one who will
remind the children to segregate the useful stuff to make something valuable in the
future or in the time which those stuff be necessary.
Cleanliness and proper way of making the whole classroom neat and clean
makes learning outcome effective. The pressure is at the hand of the learners so that
we must teach them to be practical person outside or inside the learning center.
Teachers are their key to attain good values.
