! Dialog/Dialog Advanced/Dialog+ Filter for ABPM Module M2005 from PAR
1. Related Machines
• All machines with the ABPM module M2005 from PAR.
2. Problem
Within our product surveillance we have observed that after 2 to 3 years of operation, there may be an increase of unwarranted
alarm messages related to blood pressure readings (too long measurement times or inaccurate measurement results).
3. Cause
The cause for this problem is contamination within the pneumatic system which affects the deflation time during measurement. The
source of the contamination are residual particles from the cuff bladder that are generated during the manufacturing process.
4. Solution
Assembly of a filter between the connected cuff and the ABPM module M2005.
5. Introduction in Series
Dialog+ machines with ABPM option are delivered with filters from end of October 2009.
6. Service Activities
ABPM modules M2005 that experience unwarranted alarm messages should be diagnosed and replaced if necessary. The filter
should be installed on all machines during your next service job. Cut open the internal cuff connector tubing and assemble the filter.
If necessary shorten the tubing for the filter A1/cuff connector A, to prevent a kinking of the tubing. Pay attention to the correct
assembly direction C of the filter B (filter INLET C to internal cuff connector A). There is no scheduled maintenance for the filter.
