Fees Details for those who will get Provisional Admission


to M.A. Economics Programmes 2018-20 offered by
CUTN-MSE on Counseling days July 4-5, 2018
Dear All,

Greetings from MSE.

Hope you would have got the call letter for first counseling for MA Programs at
MSE which will be held on July 4-5, 2018. As indicated you need to bring the
following certificates for verification and DD for Rs. 10,000.

i. Date of Birth (any one of the birth certificate, voter id, passport, school
leaving certificate)
ii. Community certificate in specified format (if applicable)
iii. CUCET 2018 hall ticket
iv. Call letter for counseling
v. Mark sheet – Qualifying Examination (Undergraduate)
vi. Degree/Provisional degree certificate
vii. Transfer and conduct certificate
viii. If employed, no objection certificate from the Employer
ix. Any other relevant certificate (for example physically challenged resident
of North-eastern states, Union Territories etc.)
x. Non-refundable advance fee of Rs. 10,000 in the form of a DD in favor of
Madras School of Economics, payable at Chennai.

Hostel accommodation for attending Counseling


MSE does not have guest house accommodation, but has student hostel
accommodation with a cot, and a fan. In rooms, we don't have pillows and mat
etc. Those who need hostel accommodation for attending counseling can contact
Dr. Gangadharan, Administrative officer, MSE (Email: ganga@mse.ac.in). MSE

will charge Rs 100 per person per day. MSE has a canteen inside the campus from
July 4th, 2018. You can place order for your food there.

For candidates who will get provisional admission on the


counseling day

Please remember that classes will start from July 11, 2018. The candidates who
are admitted into the program can go home and come back on July 11, 2018 to
attend classes or they can stay in MSE hostel till hostel is alloted and attend
classes.

Once the provisional admission is given then you are required to pay admission
fee as well as first semester fees through SBI portal (see below for details of fees
and enclosed file for SBI portal) and submit the payment details to our student
office on or before July 9th, 2018. Otherwise your provision admission will be
cancelled and the non-refundable advance fee of Rs. 10,000 will be retained by
MSE.

Note: The fee is under revision with Central University. At maximum,


the fees may be increased by 10%. If the CUTN increases the fees,
the increased balance fee to be paid later.

Fees Payment Mode*:


Kindly find enclosed the SBI Portal details for paying the first semester
fees/admission fee and the mode of payment is only through SBI PORTAL. Fees
need to be shared by the CUTN and MSE. Therefore, students are required to pay
MSE share and CUTN share separately. Details are given below. Last date of
paying the semester fees for 1st semester is July 9th 2018.

1. For Regular MA Students (admitted through Counseling):

First semester fee (Payable every semester) is Rs. 34,750/

Infrastructure Development and Maintenance fees (payable every semester) is Rs.


25000/-.

Admission Fees (one time) is Rs. 4010

a. Total MSE share in first semester fee to be paid before July 9th 2018 is:
63760/-. through SBI portal

b. A separate Demand Draft drawn for Rs.11,250 in favour of Central University of


Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur.

2. For Integrated MA Students (who join from CUTN after completing 3


years at CUTN:

A Non-refundable Caution deposit is Rs. 10,000/-

Payable every semester is Rs.16, 176/

Infrastructure Development and Maintenance fees payable every semester is Rs.


15000/-

Admission Fees (one time) is Rs. 4010

a. Total MSE share in first semester fee to be paid before July 9th 2018 is:
45186/-. through SBI portal

b. A separate Demand Draft drawn for Rs.5138 in favour of Central University of


Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur.

Soft copy of the payment proof can be sent it to all 3 mail ids of
selvam@mse.ac.in: studentsoffice@mse.ac.in and alsobarath@mse.ac.in

* Semester fees for the academic year 2018-19 are under revision. At maximum it
may be increased by 10%.

For all who get admission to MA Programs, please note that those who withdraw
from the program before classes start need to forgo the non-refundable caution
deposit of Rs. 10,000. Those who get campus placement at MSE during your
study period need to forgo this caution deposit. Those who participate in the
campus placement and not placed will forgo 50% of the caution deposit at the
time of leaving the course in 2020.
