Submission the Load Bearing Strip material for Approval

With reference to the above subject, our comments are hereby mentioned for your kind
consideration.

According to the approved drawings of the Nagollagama Ground Reservoir, the thickness between
the roof slab of the sump & Column head/Wall seems as 50 mm thickness and it is to be checked.(
As the section B of the sump in the drawing no: DOWSP/NAG/GR/C/004 is not clear ). The
thickness of your proposed membrane material for this application is 3 mm thickness.

However, details for the Load bearing pad shall be obtained from the designer since the bearing
pad shall be selected based on its bearing Capacity which correspond to the Slab weight & other
structural requirement of the joint.

Hence the details of bearing pad is to be obtained from the designer and it is to be included in to
the drawings also.

In addition to that, End details for the Column C1 (the section B of the sump in the drawing no:
DOWSP/NAG/GR/C/004) is different with the given detail in the drawing no:
DOWSP/NAG/GR/S/009 for the above same. Hence the positions of bearing pad also to be
finalized from the designer.
