Shri Arun Jaitley, Finance Minister, New Delhi - 110 011.

Re: We have a system of less moral integrity in India than that of about 9 years ago

Hon’ble Sir,

This e-mail communication is in reply of the news heard by me at 8 a. m. today as well as your tweet.

Public Post:-

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Portal (website): My uncle is an IAS officer. My father told me
that his wealth is around 150 crores. Is it possible to earn 150 crores as an IAS?

My reply:-

About 8–9 years ago ordinary citizens like us had a right to seek information with potential for
exposing the gross irregularities or the loss caused by white elephants who occupy position of
power and its abuse in our system.
Presently it is no longer, most of the agencies meant for exposing corruption in India are
dysfunctional,
the Central Vigilance Commission replied me it has no system of protecting a whistle blower
while the CBI is out of purview of RTI;
I am writing RTI since 2006–07 and presently I feel we have more
apathy and less transparency and accountability than the era of 2008–09
when the CBI used to reply in terms of the Right to Information law.
