También conocida como Cuzco o Qosqo, capital arqueológica de América, fue

la ciudad principal del Imperio Inca, considerada por los mismos como
“Ombligo del mundo”. Era el centro vital del milenario Tahuantinsuyo (Imperio
de los Incas) y en la actualidad es la ciudad más visitada del Perú por ofrecer
gran riqueza arquitectónica y espiritual.

El clima en la Ciudad del Cusco es relativamente fresco aunque muy

cambiante, puede pasar de un sol radiante a una lluvia torrencial, en solo
minutos. Así que deberá estar preparado para una pequeña lluvia, incluso si
viene en Temporada Seca. Las temperaturas en la ciudad del Cusco oscilan
entre 13 y 15 ºC, y es así en casi toda la región sur del Perú, En general la
región de Cusco goza de un clima que varía en 2 estaciones al año; la
temporada seca y la temporada de lluvias.

Cuzco posee un relieve muy accidentado. Solo al norte de la región el relieve

es selvático se torna suave y con colinas.

La tradición más importante en el cusco es el Inti Raymi, es una tradición

que llega a nuestros días desde la época del Imperio Inca. El Inti Raymi es el
homenaje que el hombre peruano rinde al Sol y a toda la naturaleza. cusco es
conocido por machupicchu por que es una de las 7 maravillas del mundo.
