ABSTRACT

SINDAY, APRIL JOY A. 2017. “GROWTH PERFORMANCE OF

GINGER (Zingeber Officinale, Rosc) APPLIED WITH
VERMICAST AND COMPLETE FERTILIZER.” Short term
research, Institute of Agriculture, Agusan Del Sur State
College of Agriculture and Technology, Bunawan, Agusan Del
Sur.

Adviser: FE A. MANATAD, Ph.D.

This study entitled “growth performance of ginger (Zingeber

officinale Rosc) in applying vermicast and complete fertilizer” was

conduct at Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology

(ASSCAT) Bunawan del Sur of from July 15 to October 5, 2017.

The study was laid out in a Randomized Complete Block Design

(RCBD) with 10 rhizomes per treatment and (120) rhizomes per

replication. The treatment were the following; (T0) control, (T1) 300g

vermicast, (T2) 15g complete fertilizer and (T3) 150g vermicast, 7.5

complete fertilizer.

Results revealed that the application of vermicast and complete

fertilizer significantly influence the plant height (cm) and number of

leaves of ginger.

On the other hand, number of tillers, width (cm) of leaves and

length (cm) of leaves were not significantly influenced by vermicast and

complete fertilizer.
