I. COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Keeping in Touch with MAPEH answers the need towards the K TO 12 Enhanced Basic Education Curriculum to strengthen our Filipino identity. ARTS offer an
opportunity for the students to explore its elements like lines, shapes, colors, and textures. It also emphasizes patterns and harmony which enhances student creativity and
appreciation of God’s gift to mankind. Drawing, sketching, painting recycling, and other related skills are part of this component.

II. FINAL PRODUCT:


The goal is to make students understand the Philippine art, culture and heritage. They will learn to appreciate the diversity of our local artists, our arts, crafts and the
indigenous materials to strengthen their identity of being Filipino before they are introduced to the art of other countries. They will be introduced to archeological artifacts, houses,
buildings, churches, natural and historical places in the community, Philippine myths and legends through printmaking and Philippine sculpture.

V. COURSE POLICIES:
 Be on time and prepared every day. Make sure that you have a separate notebook for MAPEH subject, your textbook for your reference and any supplies needed for the
day.
 Student’s activities or works will be assessed using a rubric provided by the teacher.
 Computations of grades will be based on the percentage given by the DepEd.
 Be prepared to give your best every day. These include paying attention during class discussion, asking questions, participating in all group activities, completing all
assignments and submit the projects on or before the deadline. Late projects will be accepted only a week after the deadline but they will be given demerit or deductions.
 Students should be courteous all the time.
 Listen when someone else is speaking.
 Work quietly at your chair.
 During activities, strictly no borrowing of materials or asking from the classmates.
 Raise your right hand if you have a question or you need help. Avoid shouting.
 Respect your teacher as well as your fellow classmate’s personal space and property.
 Strictly follow directions without interrupting others.
 No communication devices like mobile phones, tabs or any gadgets are allowed inside the classroom unless you are required to bring.
 Attendance is extremely important to successfully complete the subject.
 If any student misses class (due to absences) they are responsible for getting their assignments within 1-2 school days as he/she returns to school.
 Assignments missed due to class cut (illegal absence) cannot be made up. A zero grade will be recorded.
 Cheating and plagiarism at any form will not be tolerated. Students should be honest at all times. Evidence of cheating and plagiarism will result in a zero grade being
recorded with no opportunity to redo the assignment or to have the grade removed from the records. A discipline referral will also be submitted to the office of the
guidance counselor.
 Additional points will be given to those students who show exemplary attitudes towards learning and also who will have a perfect attendance for the whole grading period.
 Any complaints should be properly addressed to the teacher concern.
