Community Exposure
(Project Implementation and Trainings)

One of the goals of student nurses in affiliating to the selected community for
Community Health Nursing exposure was the implementation of a livelihood training program or
something that people in the community can benefit themselves and gain extra income. We have
lots of activities to be performed. First in line is, we need to continue what was the other group
has started, the tocino and longgnisa making. We invited again the active participation of the
people living in Brgy. Bao-baoan. We facilitate the during the food processing and teach
appropriate packaging of the product.

The group 1 student nurses were assigned to do the Banana chips and Coco Sugar
training. We invited a resource speakers to demonstrate and train the people in the community on
how the product was made. We are thankful that they are willing and cooperative during the
preparation and cooking demonstration. We give also a certificate of appreciation to our speakers
for sharing their knowledge and skill.

For me, the implication of this nursing practice and education will help the community
how to be independent in their way of living and they will be able to utilize their resources
around them. Since we are health care provider, were also promoting how to have or maintain a
healthly lifestyle to everyone.
