The unit competency,perform mensuration and calculation(PMC) is one of the

competencies under Electronic Products Assembly and Servicing NC II.In this unit of
competency you will able to learn and understand the scope of the competency.This
course comprises the knowledge,skills and as well as the attitudes of the learners that
comply with the qualification needed in Electronic Products Assembly and Servicing NC
II.

In this module,you are required to go through a series of learning activities in order to

achieve the learning competency.It contains Pre-assessment Test.Iformation sheets,self-
checks, and task sheet,activity checklist,Post-assessment test follow and perform the
activities on your own.If you have question, do not hesitate to ask for assistance from
your facilitator.
LED (Light Emmiting Diode) - Is a two lead semi conductor device that converts electricity
in to light.
Resistor - Is an electriical component that limits or regulates the flow of electrical current
in an electronic circuit.
Resistor can also be used to a provide a specific voltage for an active device
such as a transistor.
Switch - A device for making and breaking the connection in an electric circuit.
Battery - A container consisting of one more cells, in which chemical energy is converted
into electricity and
used as a source of power.
Relay - A switches that open and close circuits electromagnetically or electronically.
Relay control one electrical circuit by opening and closing contacts in another circuit.
