Week 3 Practice Presentation

Video: Each student must make a video of the speech; that video should be
uploaded to Google Drive within 24 hours.

File name: Please use the following format for the file name, and if you
haven’t already done it, please re-name your existing files to this
format:

Shared folder: CPS INT – first name - nickname

VDO: CPS INT – first name - nickname – ass1VDO

Other files: CPS INT – first name - nickname – Self Reflection

Self-Assessment: Review the video of your speech, and refer to the Rubric
for Student Feedback on page 34 of your book. Next, complete the Self
Reflection section on the Self Reflection Form. This must be completed within
48 hours of your presentation. Save it to your shared folder in Google Drive.

Note: Self Assessments can be completed on the form provided by saving a

copy, then allowing yourself to edit the document. Change the file name of the
saved copy to be consistent with instructions at the top of the page. If you
have any difficulty in typing directly in the form, you can simply type the
assessment/feedback on a blank document, save it and share it. Don’t
let a small technical hiccup stop you from completing this valuable task in a
timely manner.

Remember that self-assessments become part of your semester portfolio,

which will be graded at the end of the course, so you should be honest and
constructive in your assessment and feedback.

Grading:

This assessment is part of your classwork.

I will take brief notes while you are making your informative speech, but I will
review your video prior to giving you feedback on the assessment.

Your portfolio grade will be affected by the quality of your self-assessment

and any peer assessments that you complete.
