NM 6.6 – Remember Filter when Back to an Alarm / Event List

When working with a device (RTU), the user frequently filters the
alarm / event list for that device and then does a Locate or an
Info from a specific row in the filtered list.
With this change, when returning to the alarm / event list
(Previous Picture), the filter is remembered and automatically
applied on the navigate back.
Also with this change, the header of the alarm / event list is
colored to show the user has filtered the list.

NM 9.1 - Performance Test DAIS/OPC bridge and OPC UA client
Architecture

The intension is to understand the number of data changes that can

be exchanged/passed thru the system using the DAIS2OPC bridge
and the OPC UA Client.
Tests shows that the maximum data rate is in the range of 100.000
values/second in each direction of subscription (1 and 2 in the
picture).
Write operations is approximate 1000 values/second
NM 9.0 – SCADA Changes
New Tool for Saving/Restoring Alarm/Event Comments After the cold start,

DMTExport is used to store the alarm comments in xml-files before the cold start.
DMTImport is used to fetch the stored alarm comments and put them into Avanti file <RESTORE ALARM COMMENT>.
When a new alarm is received it is checked if it is on one of the objects that has a stored comment. If it is, the object’s stored comment
is added to the object’s new alarm (with an indication that the comment is restored). After this the alarm comment is removed from the
Avanti file so no new alarm will get the comment again.

Locate dialog now shows recently located objects, so that the

user can easily select one of those objects again for Locate.
NM 9.0 – SCADA Changes

OPER_YES: Creates a dialog for yes / no answer.
VALIDATE: Controls if a SPL program validation should be done before a working activation should be done.
VALRET: Returns the Valid / Not valid information.
STOPINxSERVER where x = PRODUCTION, TEST, TRAINING will abort an SPL execution, activated in a server of “wrong” type. This is an
extra safety possibility to block a start of an SPL program that is faulty configured by the SPL Connect and Delete function.

NM 9.2 SCADA Changes
Load Shed Enhancements

Load shedding is used in emergencies to quickly shed load, when the system generation cannot keep up with the demand (load). The
Load Shed function now also supports the following:
- Capability to select all loads in all blocks, or all loads in selected blocks.
- Provides the operator with a mechanism to first arm selected block(s) for additional security when initiating load shed or restoration
actions.
- Load shed devices, wherein each device shed actually trips multiple loads in the field.
- Depiction of total system generation, total system load an total spinning reserve from the load shed display. These values help an
operator monitor the need to shed load and the affect of any load shedding that has been done

NM 9.2
Dynamic Relay Loadability Limit (DRLL)

1. The Dynamic Relay Loadability Limit is established for the

purpose of comparing with the branch load limit to
determine if steps must be taken to prevent undesirable
relay operation.
2. DRLL feature is supported in SE, DPF, SA. The limits are
calculated for each SE/DPF run and for each outage in SA.
3. An NMOPTION is used to enable/disable the feature. For
baseline NMPARAMETER(<NM OPTION(Q DYN RELAY LOAD 6
LIMIT)>) is set 0
4. DRLL calculation can be disabled using a global flag
5. DRLL calculation for individual relays can be
disabled/enabled using Use Flag.
6. DRLL is calculated for each branch protected by overcurrent 7
and impedance relays
7. DRLL value is stored in the third limit. If the branch flows are
within the tripping range of the protective relay(s) then
violations are reported in each application.

whether the capacitor bank is available for relay control or not
Each relay can monitor up to four equipment and control up to
six capacitor banks
Each capacitor bank has reactive power flow settings and time
settings

MVAR Setting Time Setting

NM 9.2
Scaled set points in OTS

The AGC function has been updated to use scaled values to send
out set points. A scaled set point is a value between -1 and 1.
Value -1 corresponds to the Reg Limit High offset and the value -1
correspond Reg Limit Low. The OTS has now been updated to be
able to handle set points sent as scaled values.
As reference value (scaled value = 0) the initial scheduled value in
r_ots_operation -> AGC -> Generator Schedule Data is used.

 A notional timeframe has been set but changes should be expected

 Release content has been defined but not finalized

 Planning is complete and the release has been staffed and funded
Targeted  Release timeframe has been set (e.g. a specific month or quarter)
 Development is comfortable with the release timeframe and scope
in the plan

 Release content has been finalized and a specific, tentative release

Committed date has been set
 Development is comfortable that the release date will be met

Released  The release is generally available for delivery to a customer
