Projects:
1. Segmentation of Tumors from Liver ultrasound images:
a. For the segmentation of tumors from liver ultrasound images, fuzzy C mean method has
been used. Coding was done in such a way that whole tumor region get segregated just
by selecting a single pixel from the tumor region. Research for the same is uploaded in
Journal of Medical Systems on 15th March’2016 and is currently under review. (Time
Period of Workdone: September 2014 – Jan 2016)
b. An improved method of segmentation method is proposed. The method is based on
region intensity differences across two regions. Segmentation results obtained were
promising and are verified by the experienced radiologist. Research paper has been
written for the same and is submitted to the Ph.D. supervisor for review. (Time Period of
Workdone: September 2014 – April 2016)
Classifies set of five classes (Cyst, HCC, HEM, MET and Normal Liver) by extracting
texture features followed by classification with ensemble of 10 trained neural networks.
Classification accuracy achieved is approximately 94%. Research paper has been written
and is submitted to Ph.D. supervisor for review. (Time Period of Workdone: September
2014 – June 2016)
Brain Images obtained from two modality viz. MRI and CT are taken as input and are fused
together by a code written in MATLAB, which give an output image having more details and clear view of
a tissues, tumors, etc. Image fusion is implemented using two techniques viz wavelets and a novel method
using image segmentation algorithm. (Time Period of Workdone: August 2011 – April 2012)
4. Su-doku Solver:
Code written in C language takes input in the form of incomplete su-doku where in place of
empty spaces user has to enter 0. Program gives an output in the form of completely solved su-soku.
Algorithm used is based on simple procedure one usually followed while solving the su-doku manually.
