Greetings!

Recordkeeping is vital to good governance. Records are the basis for effective service
delivery and public accountability. The effectiveness and efficiency of the public service
across the range of government functions depends upon the availability of and access to
information held in records. It is essential that the information held in any office is properly
managed, kept secure and up to date. Generally accepted records principles are integral to
any records management program as they direct information management and governance
of records creation, control, maintenance, security and other activities used to effectively
support recordkeeping.

We are pleased to invite your staff to the Association’s live-out seminar-workshop on

“Generally Accepted Recordkeeping Principles (GARP®): Road to Governance” to be held
at the Crown Regency Residences, V. Rama Avenue, Guadalupe, Cebu City on 12-14
September 2017.
