A commuter bus driving south on Highway 101 veered off the road and into a ditch just north
of the State Route 92 interchange a few minutes before 8 a.m.Thursday morning, according
to a California Highway Patrol office at the scene. The officer confirmed none of the some
45 passengers on the bus were injured, and that the driver had complained of mechanical
issues just prior to the crash. It took crews some four hours to tow the bus out of the ditch.
