Adrian Alton, Manufacturing Director at the FloRoll Manufacturing Company, is

trying to decide whether to make the tail mechanism for the new floroll in his
manufacturing plant, or to buy this section in from another company. He would like to
take the advice of his production supervisors, especially since they will need to work
around any decision he makes. However, he fears that the supervisors will want to
make the product, irrespective of any considerations, in order to keep work for their
staff. Should Adrian make the decision himself or consult his supervisors?
