REFLECTION ON MGA MUNTING TINIG

The fact is, the movie is really worth watching for. This I guess is the best movie that
Alessandra de Rossi has done. The production value of the movie imparted to the audience the
value of what teaching is all about especially how the character in the movie decided to choose
a life of being a teacher and worst, to have it in a far flung area where scarcity of resources is no
stranger to us all.
I was deeply moved since personally; I am a musician myself. The movie may have a very
typical plot but the lesson that it delivers to me and maybe to those who have seen it will truly
say that it only takes a decisive and determined teacher to be a winner that deserves to take it
all. Why? Because she did not only make those less fortunate students win but she also has
won the odds by making her co-teachers realize that there will always be hope for those
students and for their being a teacher too to triumph in whatever endeavors that they wish to
achieve if only they will persevere and would be willing to risk everything despite the odds in
the situation even in the very trying times that your principles will be tested to its full circle.
The movie depicted a very typical scenario of Teachers that are assigned in a far flung
area which is obviously a fact that is happening in our society today. There is this mental
mindset that if you are assigned in such areas both teacher and students are being judged such
that those students in the rural areas are less intelligent than those in the urban areas and on
the other hand, those teachers that are assigned in the rural areas will soon be eaten by a lazy
culture that because of its remote location and inaccessibility of being seen by Education
Supervisors, they will just do their jobs complimentarily and that the noble cause of the
teaching profession is being sacrificed. This is seen in the situation in the movie where
Alessandra is tried to be influenced by co-teachers that her students cannot do anything to
alleviate their situation due to their being poor that they need to priority labor over their
studies that she is being persuaded by her co-teachers to simply just embrace the culture of
compliance that they cannot do anything with the students’ situation. But the good thing is she
never gave in to such a rotten culture and really get out of her way to prove to them that there
will always be so many ways to push these students to try their best which lead them to
eventually won in the competition and prove them wrong of their notion.
