Pengujian RNL awal sebagai alat uji untuk mendignosis kejadian SNAD digunakan
analisis regresi logistik. Hasil uji analisis ini diperoleh persamaan regresi sebagai
berikut:

Hasil uji ini menyatakan ada hubungan yang sangat bermakna antara RNL dengan peluang
terjadi SNAD (p = 0,006). Persamaan ini menyatakan makin tinggi nilai RNL makin besar
peluang terjadi SNAD. Secara grafik hubungan antara RNL dengan peluang terjadi SNAD
dapat dilihat pada Gambar 1. Hasil uji ini menunjukkan bahwa RNL dapat digunakan
sebagai alat uji mendiagnosis SNAD. Jika nilai peluang digunakan titik potong = 0,5, maka
diperoleh titik potong RNL = 1,74. Nilai titik potong RNL = 1,74 memberikan nilai
diagnosis sebagai berikut (Tabel 1).

Peran terapi pada pasien SNAD diuji dengan uji t berpasangan, sebab n > 30. Hasil uji ini diperoleh
nilai t = 13,654 dengan p < 0,0001. Hasil ini menyatakan terjadi penurunan sangat bermakna rerata
RNL setelah diterapi. Jadi hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa terapi dapat digunakan untuk menilai
perubahan yang terjadi pada RNL. Jika dinilai rerata RNL setelah diterapi, maka nilai rerata RNL
sudah beradal di bawah titik potong RNL = 1,74. Hanya 5 dari 50 (10%) pasien yang masih memiliki
RNL  1,74.
