Application
l Early detection of smoldering fire in building and can also quickly detect flaming fires that
produce smoke
l Can be connected to AlgoRex via E3M080 collective line card or DC1192 collective input
module
l Can be connected to BC80 series control units via BDS161 collective input module

Installation
l SO520 as the base shall be installed and wired firmly during installation
l Connectors “1(+)”,“3(-)”on the detector base should be connected to connectors “D+”, “D-” on
BDS161
l Check wiring and ensure the connection are correct and then revolve the detector to cover
the base
l Every BDS161 can connect up to 15 OP520/HI520 detectors
l It is recommended wiring with twisted-pairs from base to base, the diameter of wires should
within 1.0 mm2 to 1.5 mm 2

Maintenance
l Detectors shall be replaced when they are faulty. Backup detectors shall be stored with sealed
packaging
