As an experienced teacher with four years of experience in elementary schools, I

Since I began my journey in teaching, I have been passionate in my commitment to 
three things: building relationships with students, instilling an appreciation for 
physical literacy, and encouraging students to be independent learners. I am a 
creative and reflective teacher. I have the ability and work ethic to create engaging, 
differentiated lesson plans. I am knowledgeable of 21st century teaching 
competencies and include these in my teaching consistently.  
 
Beginning my teaching career in Alberta has given me the foundations to be a 
confident educator. I have taught mainly in third grade and sixth grade, as well as 
numerous grades of Physical Education and Junior High Options. In June 2017, I met 
all of the Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes (KSAs) highlighted by the Teaching 
Quality Standards (TQS) in Alberta and signed my permanent teaching contract.  
 
One of my greatest strengths is connecting with students. I truly believe in the 
power of relationships and the lifelong impact that can make for children. I am a 
Montessori trained teacher; I would feel honoured to share my Montessori approach 
to education with the students in your school. I am passionate about physical 
literacy and have coached Junior High girls basketball and volleyball for three years.  
 
I am enthusiastic about learning and would consider myself to be a lifelong learner. I 
always strive to do the best for the students I work with. After spending the past 
years in Alberta, I truly feel like there is no place like home. Please take a look at my
