O Rio Music Conference chega à sua oitava edição
consecutiva no Rio de Janeiro com a missão de continuar a
contribuir para que o Brasil e a América do Sul tenham um
evento de nível mundial no setor do entretenimento presencial,
da música digital e na economia criativa onde, sem sombra
de dúvida, a Electronic Dance Music é uma de suas formas
mais importantes. De cara renovada, aportamos no revitalizado
Porto Maravilha, onde nasceu a cidade do Rio de Janeiro e,
bem na Praça Mauá, encontram-se as nossas novas casas, o
Museu de Arte do Rio (MAR) e o Museu do Amanhã.
Nesta temporada 2015/2016, o RMC observou o
desaquecimento do mercado de entretenimento no Brasil em
função da grave crise econômica. Estivemos presentes em
São Paulo, na Edição Regional América Latina; em Curitiba
com sua já tradicional Edição Regional Sul; e retornou à Belo
Horizonte, desta vez com a Edição Regional Sudeste - onde
nossas Atividades de Negócios e Acadêmicas contaram,
como sempre, com painéis, debates, workshops e muito
networking para seus inscritos e seus palestrantes nacionais e
internacionais.
Em nossa atuação internacional, marcamos presença nos
principais eventos do circuito, como o Amsterdam Dance
Event, EDMBiz, C/O Pop, International Music Summit e
Winter Music Conference - em painéis ou atividades que
permitiam apresentar melhor o mercado brasileiro e suas
potencialidades, assim como nos preparar cada vez melhor
para atender à nossa base de participantes locais como o
principal ponto de convergência, de troca de experiências e
de compartilhamento de novas visões sobre cena mundial no
setor Sul Americano e brasileiro.
A quinta edição do Anuário de Mercado continua sendo
publicada em português e inglês, com circulação com 10
mil exemplares e alcance superior a 30 mil leitores. Como
em seus anos anteriores, traz a história dos vencedores
do V Prêmio RMC e seus perfis, os principais números
do setor, uma série de entrevistas com “key-players” do
mercado, a retrospectiva de 2015 com os principais fatos e
acontecimentos do ano e as tendências, traçadas por analistas,
para o ano de 2016.
E, novamente, temos que agradecer aos verdadeiros pilares
do RMC: vocês, nossos leitores, delegados, conferencistas,

Rio Music Conference reaches its eighth consecutive year in
Rio de Janeiro with the mission to continue contributing for
Brazil and South America having a world-class event of the
entertainment industry, digital music and creative economy
where, undoubtedly, the electronic dance music stands out.
With a brand new makeover, we dock in the revitalized area of
Porto Maravilha, the birthplace of the city of Rio de Janeiro,
right in the middle of the Mauá Square you will find our new
homes, the Rio Art Museum (MAR) and the Museu do Amanhã.
In this season 2015/2016, the RMC watched the entertainment
market slowdown in Brazil due to the severe economic crisis.
We were present in São Paulo for the Latin America Edition;
in Curitiba with our traditional Southern Edition; and returned
to Belo Horizonte, this time with the Southeast Edition - where
our Business Activities and Academic were filled, as always,
with panels, discussions, workshops and networking to its
subscribers and its national and international guests.
As for our international operations, we have made a presence
in the major events on the international circuit, as the
Amsterdam Dance Event, EDMBiz, C / O Pop, International
Music Summit and Winter Music Conference - in panels or
activities that allow us to present the Brazilian market and
its potential, as well as prepare us even better to meet our
base of local participants as the main point of convergence,
exchanging experiences and sharing new views on the South
American and Brazilian industryies
The fifth edition of this Market Yearbook continues to be
published in Portuguese and English, with a circulation of
10 thousand copies and reaches more than 30,000 readers.
As in its earlier years, this book presents you the winners of
the V RMC Award and their profiles, the main figures of the
sector, a series of interviews with key players in the market, the
retrospective of 2015 with major facts and events of the year
and trends, drawn by analysts for the year 2016.
And again, we have to thank the true pillars of the RMC: you,
our readers, delegates, speakers, partners and sponsors.

O Rio Music Conference (RMC) é o encontro da música
eletrônica e entretenimento na América do Sul, que visa a
oportunidades a quem deseja participar deste mercado.
O RMC engloba a Conferência (parte dia), o Festival
Rio Music Carnival e o Club Week (parte noite), e desde
2009 estabeleceu sua Edição Principal em meio ao
Carnaval carioca, devido à intensa movimentação cultural
já existente na cidade.
A primeira edição do RMC surgiu da percepção que
o mercado de música eletrônica estava crescendo.
Na época, mais de 3 bilhões de dólares eram
movimentados por ano sem que houvesse um encontro
que proporcionasse um ambiente democrático para a
expansão organizada e integrada da indústria. Hoje, mais
que o dobro (6,2bi) é movimentado em todo o mundo,
anualmente.
Para assimilar as particularidades de um país continental,
o RMC percorre os mercados locais através das edições
regionais, que chegam a cinco capitais nas grandes
regiões brasileiras ao longo do ano. Assim como na
edição principal, as regionais são formadas por uma
intensa programação tanto de dia como de noite, e
contam com o Fusion Stage como parceiro, desde 2014,
para a realização de um grande evento na cidade-sede.
Por onde passa, o RMC leva debates, networking,
aprendizado e uma programação de festas.
A passagem do RMC pelo país na temporada de edições
regionais resulta em dois produtos importantes, que
são divulgados na edição principal, no Rio de Janeiro.
Um deles é este Anuário do Mercado, que analisa
minuciosamente o cenário econômico e artístico da
música eletrônica no Brasil - e no mundo. O outro é o
iniciativas que se destacaram ao longo do ano, através de
votação realizada pelos mais de 900 Embaixadores RMC

The Rio Music Conference (RMC) is the meeting between
the electronic music and the entertainment markets in
South America, which seeks to be a reference point
for the sector professionals, offering opportunities to
whoever wants to make part of it. The RMC englobes
the conferences C (during the day), the Rio Music
Carnival and the Club Week (night part), with its main
event stablished since 2009 during the carioca carnival,

and initiatives that stood out throughout the year.
The ellection of the winners is decided by 900 RMC
ambassadors (a group of people who are widely invelved
in the market) all over the country. The result of the
IV RMC Award you can check out by the end of this
Yearbook.

CONFERENCE
A conferência, carro-chefe do R io M usic Conference, é m ontada
cuidadosamente por uma equipe de curadores e foca em todas as
áreas da economia criativa voltadas à música e ao entretenimento.
Recebe anualmente mais d e 200 convidados, entre b rasileiros
e estrangeiros. C om o s convidados, são m ontados painéis ou
palestras com a intenção de iniciar discussões em torno de temas
necessários para o desenvolvimento da cena, aumentar o diálogo
entre as esferas públicas e privadas e promover o conhecimento.
O público da conferência é formado pelos p róprios membros do
mercado, provenientes d e diversos l ocais do B rasil e do m undo,
e também por interessados em tornar-se parte deste universo em
áreas, f ornecedores e i nvestidores. A programação d e painéis
compreende diversas salas com atividades simultâneas, e o restante
do espaço de conferência é utilizado como área de negócios.

Conference, is carefully constructed by a team of curators that work
within a ll o f the areas o f the creative economy directed t owards
music and entertainment. The conference receives more than 200
invited guests annually, including B razilian nationals and f oreign
guests as w ell. D iscussion panels and presentations are built t o
initiate discussions about the development of the electronic music
scene, i ncrease d ialog between t he public and private sectors o f
the scene, and promote awareness in general. The members of the
conferences are chosen from amongst the players within the market
itself, hailing from d iverse l ocations f rom around B razil and t he
world. The public o f the conference i ncludes everyone w ho i s
interested i n becoming part o f this ever-growing universe such
as s tudents, a rtists, business professionals from o ther a reas,
suppliers, and investors. The programming of the panels includes
three simultaneous meeting areas, and the rest of the space used for
business meetings.

O Club Week é uma parceria com estabelecimentos locais voltados
ao entretenimento noturno, sejam bares o u casas noturnas. N a
época do Rio Music Conference, estes estabelecimentos tornam-
os m embros d a conferência familiarizem-se com o m ercado do
entretenimento local. A ideia é ligar toda a cidade em uma corrente
onde o s envolvidos com o m ercado, sejam e les de onde f orem,
encontrem n a paixão pela música e letrônica u m elemento em
comum.

life entertainment, including bars or nightclubs. During the time of
the Rio Music Conference these establishments turn into cohosts
know t he l ocal m arket and entertainment options. The i dea is t o
connect the entire city in an all- encompassing moment; it doesn’t

Ao longo de 2015 o RMC desenhou uma nova forma de
atuação pelas regiões brasileiras. Curitiba e Belo Horizonte
receberam edições regionais do Sul e Sudeste e São Paulo
sediu o RMC América Latina. O formato foi um sucesso: em
todas as praças houve recorde de público nas atividades da
conferência, com mais de 50 estabelecimentos mobilizando as
três capitais no ClubWeek e festas agitadas marcando abertura
cada encontro!

Throughout 2015, the RMC developed new modus operandis in the
different regions of Brazil. Curitiba and Belo Horizonte received the
regional editions of the South and Southeast respectively, and São
Paulo hosted the Latin American edition. The format was a success:
they all had record attendance at the conferences, with more than
50 venues mobilizing the three capital cities during ClubWeek and
