from 200 m at their lowest to a

thick rainforests are home to
the tiger, leopard, clouded
leopard and the grey ghost
of the Himalayas, the snow
leopard. It is one of the few
national parks where camping
is allowed inside the forest. It
is also a birdwatcher’s paradise
with more than 400 species, some
found only in this region. The
inaccessibility of the greater area
of the park has contributed to its
pristineness.
