COMPUTER  CLASS  
10TH  GRADE  
 
Welcome  to  Computer  class.  My  name  is  Christopher  Dominguez  and  I  will  be  the  
10th  grade  Computer  teacher  for  the  2018-­‐2019  school  year.  We  will  have  an  
exciting  semester,  as  I  will  introduce  you  to  more  educational  uses  of  technology.  
In  this  computer  class,  students  will  be  introduced  to  the  basic  operations  and  
concepts  of  technology.  They  will  demonstrate  proficiency  in  the  use  of  the  
computer  as  a  tool  for  productivity,  communication,  and  research.  Through  projects  
and  simulations,  students  will  apply  the  computer-­‐based  skills  that  they  have  
acquired  to  other  subject  areas  and  demonstrate  that  they  understand  key  ethical  
concepts  related  to  technology.

Assessments  
On-­‐going  assessments,  which  are  directly  related  to  instructional  goals,  are  critical  
for  students  to  achieve  their  potential.  Assessment  techniques  will  be  used  as  a  
measure  of  student’s  progress  as  well  as  a  diagnostic  tool  to  help  design  further  
instructions.  
Grading  Policy  
Students  earn  points  based  on  assessment  and  evaluation  of  work  samples.  Grades  
are  based  on  cumulative  points  totals.
