What Are All These People
Talking About?
From
Pam
Lang
Certi/ied
Holistic
Health
Coach/Hypnotherapist.
San
Francisco,
California
This
ebook
very
clearly
outlines
the
steps
required
to
+ind-‐
ing
what
we're
all
looking
for
-‐
freedom.
The
challenge
along
the
way
for
most
of
us
is
remember-‐
ing,
then
observing
and
learning
when
to
be
patient
and
when
to
take
action.
Most
of
us
have
spent
so
much
of
our
lives
in
a
state
of
sleepwalking,
it
can
be
hard
to
stay
focused
when
the
"dragons"
cross
our
paths.
The
only
thing
missing
from
this
article
is
a
BIG
HUGE
reminder
to
us
all
that
we
don't
have
to
go
through
it
alone.
Help
is
there,
we
just
need
to
reach
out
and
ask
for
it
in
the
form
of
a
coach
that
can
help
us
see
things
we're
not
able
to
see
on
our
own
because
we're
too
in-‐
volved
or
too
close
to
the
situation.
I
want
to
thank
you
Sha+in.
Not
only
for
this
e-‐book
and
all
the
other
tools
you've
cre-‐
ated
through
the
years
to
help
us
along
this
path,
but
for
being
there
to
personally
help
guide
me
when
I
lose
site.
You've
helped
me
achieve
things
that
I
never
would
have
been
able
to
SEE
on
my
own,
let
alone
ACHIEVE.
When
I
originally
signed
on
to
your
VIP
program
for
a
year,
you
helped
me
through
one
of
the
most
dif+icult
times
of
my
life.
I
didn't
only
survive,
I
achieved
some
seemingly
impos-‐
sible
things.
It's
a
comfort
knowing
you
are
there
when
I
need
help

My

The
"5

was
so
helpful
for
me
that
my
mind
began
to
transform
as
I
was

the
e-‐book.
I
actually
feel
a
shift
has

in
my

This

a

I
feel
so
en-‐

in

This

that
I
will

I

this
"5

will
transform
the

Hallo
Sha+in!
This
is
about
the
spiritual
intelligence
one
requires
the
most
while
going
to
do
any
sa-‐
cred
act
for
the
Universe.
Both
books
are
helpful
for
each
and
every
person
living
on
this
earth,
because
human
race
is
sleeping
and
21st
century
is
the
time
to
awaken
them
and
your
book
might
give
them
rays
of
hope
that,
yes
there
is
an
honest
way
to
create
anything
you
want
without
buying
liabilities.
This
book
taught
me
how
to
be
real
+ighter.
As
sometimes
we
feel
very
sad
in
a
spiritual
journey
as
if
it
feels
like
we
trapped
in
a
place
where
both
ways
(going
back
and
going
for-‐
ward)
are
closed,
we
have
to
wait
there
with
patience
as
when
time
will
come
something
will
happen
which
takes
us
forward
and
we
grow
and
become
pure
gold.

From

Hi
Sha+in
For
the
+irst
3
keys,
I
read
one
by
one,
meaning,
I
won’t
continue
until
I
do
something
that
is
required
and
I
leave
the
whole
day
practicing
it.
I
can’t
believe
my
life
can
change
so
quickly.
In
less
than
a
week,
I
+ind
that:
1.
I
am
more
healthy,
vibrant,
energized:
I
love
my
work
and
even
can
help
my
husband
with
his
work
in
the
house
without
complaining.
I
have
more
time
for
myself
too.
2.
I
am
aware
of
the
present
and
of
what
is
happening
in
my
body:
I
love
playing
hide
and
seek
with
whatever
is
in
my
mind,
it’s
such
a
fun
game
and
now
I
know
myself
more
than
ever
before.
3.
I
no
longer
hunger
for
more
(spiritual,
personal
development
etc)
information.
I
still
read
for
fun,
not
because
‘If
I
don’t
read,
I’ll
miss
out
something’.
The
key
‘stop
+idgeting
men-‐
tally’
is
a
waking
call
for
me.
I
think
the
book
really
keeps
the
promise
of
its
goal,
which
is
inner
freedom
for
those
who
read
it.
For
me,
it
has
given
even
more
and
I
can
not
say
what
it
is
as
it
must
be
experi-‐
enced
and
felt
inside.
iv
I
will
continue
applying
the
keys
for
the
journey
ahead
until
they
are
in
my
+lesh
and
bones.
I
highly
recommend
the
book
for
those
who
are
searching
for
peace
of
mind
and
in-‐
ner
freedom
by
practicing
only
what
is
written
there.
Thanks again and look forward to more communication from you.

SHAFIN DE ZANE
5 GOLD KEYS
For Practical Life Magic
"Life
is
suffering"
-‐
Buddha
said
that.
But
what
does
that
mean?
When
we
look
around
without
our
usual
6ilters
of
desires,
fantasies
or
preprogrammed
prejudices,
we
see
a
world
that
is
very
carefully
structured
to
perpetuate
slav-‐
ery,
but
more
importantly
we
see
a
world
6illed
with
people
who
are
more
than
willing
to
commit
to
slavery.
This
is
strange,
but
true.
Why
is
that?
Humans
in
their
current
state
of
evolution
are
stuck
between
two
states:
madman
and
superman.
The
problem
is
further
complicated
by
the
pressures
of
exponentially
growing
technologies,
as
well
the
fast
expanding
gap
be-‐
tween
the
vast
majority
who
are
stuck
in
their
dream
worlds
of
"Me
and
My
story"
and
those
who
have
broken
free
from
the
inertia
of
this
very
common
psychological
dysfunction.
Add
to
that
people
are
multiplying
faster
than
ever
before
and
children
are
being
born
to
parents
who
have
no
clear
understanding
whatsoever
about
how
to
live
in
this
super
fast
changing
world
designed
by
people
who
posses
a
level
of
intelligence
that
is
far
beyond
their
abilities
of
comprehension.
En-‐
tire
lives
pass
by
without
ever
suspecting
that
one
is
living
the
insane
life
of
a
slave
who
isn't
even
aware
that
he
or
she
is
a
slave.
So
what
is
the
solution?
That
is
what
this
message
is
about.
The
solution
is
simple;
in
fact
it
is
so
simple,
I
am
afraid
you
might
fail
to
appreciate
the
as-‐
tounding
power
that
comes
with
it.
What
follows
is
a
formula
that
took
me
nearly
twenty
years
to
6ine
tune.
During
these
twenty
years,
I
started
off
my
own
journey
of
self-‐discovery
fuelled
by
an
absolute
dissatisfaction
of
the
life
I
was
born
into,
spent
my
every
last
dollar
trying
to
6ind
a
solution,
eventually
10
went
through
a
process
of
radical
healing,
established
myself
as
a
profes-‐
sional
hypnotherapist,
then
gained
some
fame
and
respect
in
about
100
coun-‐
tries
across
the
planet
as
a
teacher
of
spirituality
and
metaphysics
and
through
a
book
I
wrote
called
Rede.ine
Your
Reality,
touched
over
100,000
lives
directly
and
virtually,
and
today
still
continuing
my
journey
discovering
ever
deeper
secrets
that
lay
hidden
and
pervade
our
everyday
reality.
The
reason
I
shared
with
you
that
nutshell
of
an
autobiography
is
to
tell
you
this:
I
have
some
experience
in
teaching
people
and
in
my
experience
its
extremely
easy
to
get
people
excited
about
a
life
changing
idea
(especially
if
you
know
a
thing
or
two
about
how
the
mind
works),
but
devilishly
dif6icult
to
make
them
continue
to
remember
and
follow
it.
(Remember
all
the
new
years
resolutions
you
didn't
follow,
all
the
promises
about
jogging
three
times
a
week,
and
to
meditate?)
Generally
speaking,
people
love
shortcuts
and
quick
6ixes,
especially
ones
that
hint
at
solving
all
of
ones
life
problems
without
having
to
do
any
hard
work
about
it.
The
idea
that
most
humans
somehow
just
cannot
grasp
is
that
doing
the
same
things
over
and
over
expecting
different
results
is
a
sign
of
insan-‐
ity.
Again
and
again
people
fall
for
the
illusion
that
there
exists
some
magic
pill
that
can
change
their
life
experience
without
any
need
to
change
their
be-‐
havior.
It's
silly,
downright
juvenile,
but
it’s
so
predictable
that
nearly
every
advertisement
and
marketing
campaigns
in
the
world
revolve
around
it.
What
I
am
reminding
you,
before
I
go
on
to
introduce
my
own
"magic
formula",
is
that
there
is
no
magic
that
works
unless
you
practice,
practice,
and
practice
some
more.
Even
Harry
Potter
needed
7
years
of
practice
before
he
could
do
some
interesting
magic.
In
other
words:
the
secret
is
not
in
the
formula,
but
what
happens
to
your
brain
when
you
keep
using
the
formula.
When
you
change,
when
your
neural
patterns
change,
when
your
subconscious
6ilters
of
beliefs
change,
your
world
changes
-‐
this
is
the
great
secret.
The
magic
formula
is
a
pattern
of
behavior
you
follow
to
speed
up
that
process
of
transformation
and
cement
that
change.
Like
any
roads,
our
neural
pathways
also
take
time
to
change.
The
se-‐
cret
is…
repetition
and
practice:
practice
and
repeat,
repeat
and
practice.
If
11
you
are
willing
to
do
that,
what
follows
here
will
teach
you
how
to
gain
the
most
elusive
privilege
of
all
in
this
overcrowded
and
superbly
predatory
hu-‐
man
society:
total
freedom.
Ready?
Here
goes…
The
very
6irst
thing
you
need
to
decide
before
you
can
unleash
any
magic
is
what
do
you
want?
Simple
right?
It’s
not.
Everyone
says
they
want
a
better
life,
but
if
you
ask
them
what
do
you
want
speci6ically,
they
have
no
idea.
Or
they
say
something
like
I
want
a
million
dollars!,
without
realizing
another
mind
numbing
obvious:
Dollars
are
agreements
between
people,
they
come
to
you
when
you
offer
something
of
value
to
someone
else;
they
are
a
replacement
for
our
old
sys-‐
tem
of
barter:
I’ll
give
you
my
goat
in
exchange
of
ten
pairs
of
those
nice
shoes
you
made.
Since
carrying
goats
and
6iguring
out
who
wants
your
goat
in
the
6irst
place
got
very
cumbersome
in
our
large
societies,
now
we
use
dollars,
which
are
simply
agreements
that
if
you
6lash
one
or
two
of
them
in
your
near-‐
est
7-‐Eleven
store,
they
will
give
you
a
bag
of
cookies.
Everyone
wants
dollars,
not
everyone
wants
goats,
so
now
we
use
dollars
instead
of
goats.
But
the
idea
is
same:
you
get
it
in
exchange
of
something
else.
You
don’t
get
it
because
you
visualize
dollars
all
day.
So
let
me
ask
you
again,
what
do
you
want
speci6ically?
Give
it
couple
of
minutes
to
consider
the
question,
and
then
read
the
rest
of
this.
Got
it?
Good.
Now
throw
it
out
the
window.
Unfortunately
that
was
a
trick
question.
It
really
doesn't
matter
what
little
fantasy
goodie
you
have
on
mind
because
ultimately
what
you
are
looking
for
is
freedom,
inner
and
outer,
total
and
complete.
And
if
you
are
not,
you
should
be,
because
without
freedom,
nothing
else
matters.
(You
could
also
say
love,
but
love
is
impossible
for
some-‐
one
without
freedom,
at
best
it
is
a
self-‐deluding
fantasy.)
So
if
there
is
one
goal
that
is
truly
worthy
of
your
human
existence,
it
is
freedom,
primarily
for
yourself,
which
the
only
way
you
can
ever
offer
it
to
12
others.
Only
a
free
being
can
respect,
celebrate
and
share
freedom;
all
else
is
some
perpetuation
of
madness.
Freedom,
however,
is
not
an
easy
thing
to
handle.
First
of
all
and
most
im-‐
portantly,
embracing
freedom
necessitates
healing.
Only
after
healing
can
one
embrace
and
sustain
total
freedom.
Without
healing
the
magnetic
wounds
of
our
unconscious,
everything
is
a
trap.
Freedom
is
not
something
you
can
hope
for
or
get
lucky
with;
its
attainment
requires
strategic,
careful,
fearless,
single
minded
and
above
all
systematic
intervention
for
healing
the
unconscious
in-‐
sanity
of
the
animalistic
mind
and
body.
So
now
we
have
something
to
begin
our
training.
Our
goal
is
freedom.
Spe-‐
ci6ically
inner
freedom:
which
means
freedom
from
our
unconscious
repeti-‐
tive
patterns
of
self-‐limiting
behavior.
Why
is
inner
freedom
our
speci6ic
goal,
instead
of
outer
freedom?
Because
outer
freedom
is
a
meaningless
concept
for
someone
who
has
no
inner
free-‐
dom.
In
fact
unless
you
have
inner
freedom
6irst,
outer
freedom
is
a
perfectly
good
formula
for
disaster.
Look
at
the
lives
of
countless
Hollywood
celebrities
and
people
who
suddenly
inherit
a
lot
of
money,
and
you
will
see
what
hap-‐
pens
when
you
get
a
lot
of
outer
freedom
without
inner
freedom:
what
you
get
is
endless
trips
to
divorce
lawyers
and
rehabs,
and
occasionally
a
self-‐
in6licted
drug
overdose
or
a
bullet
in
the
head.
So
the
freedom
we
are
interested
in
primarily
is
freedom
from
the
myriad
psychological
prisons
we
6ind
ourselves
living
in:
the
prison
of
marriage
with-‐
out
love,
the
prison
of
a
job
without
heart,
prison
of
a
family
without
growth,
prison
of
children
who
keep
us
bound…
each
of
which
are
examples
and
symp-‐
toms
of
our
own
unconscious
patterns
of
behavior
that
require
healing.
In
other
words,
they
are
prisons
of
our
own
creation,
even
if
we
were
born
into
it.
On
the
other
hand,
when
you
have
inner
freedom,
outer
freedom
always
follows.
The
inside
always
creates
the
outside.
The
outside
is
always
a
re6lec-‐
tion
of
the
inside.
This
is
the
magic
component
here.
You
can
6ight
with
it,
run
away
from
it,
try
to
forget
it,
convince
yourself
that
its
not
true,
try
to
device
13
ever
cleverer
shortcuts
to
dollars
and
happiness
until
the
cows
come
home,
but
the
fact
remains
this:
Until
you
have
healed
your
congenital
madness
that
comes
with
being
hu-‐
man,
you
will
not
6ind
happiness.
At
best
you
can
become
like
what
the
Chi-‐
nese
people
call
“hungry
ghosts”:
you
can
be
surrounded
by
more
dollars
than
you
can
count
and
you
will
only
drown
in
it
without
ever
experiencing
the
authentic
freedom
and
ful6illment
that
you
were
originally
looking
for.
With
that
in
mind,
here
is
your
magic
formula.
It’s
simple.
It’s
easy
to
re-‐
member.
It’s
easy
to
practice,
well…
easier
that
many
other
things
at
least.
This
is
the
very
6irst
component
of
our
magic
formula.
It’s
so
simple
most
people
never
follow
it.
Remember
your
goal!
What
is
it?
What
do
you
want?
Unless
you
remember
your
goal,
you
will
be
like
a
6loating
boat,
drifting
from
this
whirlpool
to
that
whirlpool,
in
river
of
life.
Your
goal
is
your
radar,
it
is
your
GPS
system,
it
is
your
guiding
light,
it
is
your
northern
star,
and
your
goal
is
INNER
FREEDOM.
(Now,
one
day
when
you
have
already
achieved
the
level
of
freedom
you
want,
you
can
use
this
formula
for
anything
else
in
life.
But
until
you
have
inner
freedom,
everything
else
is
a
snare,
a
trap,
a
distrac-‐
tion
that
will
only
delay
the
one
thing
that
truly
matters:
freedom.)
So
once
again,
remember
to
remember.
Remember
your
goal.
This
should
be
on
the
foreground
of
your
consciousness
at
all
times
and
in
every
single
de-‐
cision
you
make
in
life.
Whatever
you
do,
or
consider
doing,
or
plan
on
pursu-‐
ing,
or
spend
time
focusing
upon,
ask
yourself
this
6irst:
is
this
going
to
take
me
closer
or
away
from
my
chosen
goal?
The
answer
will
always
bring
you
clarity
and
save
you
days,
years
or
even
decades
of
meaningless
pursuit
of
chasing
your
own
tail.
14
Second Gold Key: Observe
The
second
part
of
the
formula
is
the
dif6icult
part.
It’s
also
subtle,
so
pay
close
attention.
Whenever
you
want
to
radically
change
your
life,
or
follow
your
inner
call-‐
ing,
or
bring
your
true
dreams
to
reality,
you
will
embark
upon
what
Joseph
Campbell
used
to
call
the
hero’s
journey.
In
a
nutshell,
the
hero’s
journey
in-‐
volves
awakening
that
hero
archetype
within
you,
which
then
compels
you
to
embark
upon
the
journey
of
total
transformation
towards
wholeness:
to-‐
wards
reaching
your
full
potential
as
a
being
capable
of
in6inite
expansion.
All
the
great
stories,
mythologies,
movies,
biographies
of
the
world
invariably
re-‐
6lect
this
same
theme
over
and
over:
an
ordinary
everyday
man
or
woman
an-‐
swers
his
or
her
inner
calling,
is
compelled
to
undertake
a
journey
that
chal-‐
lenges
the
very
fabric
of
his
being,
often
faces
death,
literally
and
metaphori-‐
cally,
then
eventually
awakens
to
some
wisdom
that
they
bring
back
to
the
world
as
a
boon
for
the
entire
society.
Man’s
search
for
freedom
is
really
another
name
of
the
hero’s
journey.
It
is
the
great
archetypal
story
of
awakening.
If
you
wish
to
attain
the
powers
to
re-‐
de6ine
your
reality,
radically
change
your
life
and
experience
total
and
com-‐
plete
freedom
from
slavery,
you,
too,
will
have
to
embark
upon
this
journey.
There
are
no
shortcuts
on
the
road
to
awakening.
So
what
do
you
have
to
do?
Nothing
really,
except
make
a
genuine
commit-‐
ment
within
the
depths
of
your
heart
to
follow
your
chosen
goal
no
matter
what.
The
moment
you
make
that
de6inite
decision,
a
whole
web
of
in6initely
connected
events
will
begin
to
unfold
–
your
moment
of
de6inite
commitment
is
the
beginning
of
your
journey.
One
of
the
very
6irst
signs
that
your
journey
has
begun
is
the
encounter
with
the
dragon;
the
dragon
is
the
guardian
of
the
inner
secrets.
This
is
the
6irst
obstacle,
the
dragon,
the
dark
knight
on
a
black
horse
breathing
6ire,
say-‐
ing:
Turn
back
little
one,
go
back
to
your
village
where
each
day
is
the
same
as
15
every
other
day,
that
is
where
you
belong,
this
path
is
not
for
you!
In
more
eve-‐
ryday
modern
life
words,
it’s
some
obstacle
or
limitation
or
6ire-‐breathing
par-‐
ents
or
spouse
or
boss
who
will
try
to
turn
you
away
from
your
chosen
path.
You
will
have
to
overcome
this
obstacle
to
continue
your
journey.
But,
they
will
keep
coming
and
coming
and
coming,
again
and
again,
in
many
forms
and
with
many
clever
ways
to
keep
you
from
going
forward.
Sometimes
they
will
try
to
kill
you,
sometimes
scare
you,
sometimes
coax
you,
and
sometimes
fall
in
love
with
you
(and
then
try
to
kill
you…
metaphorically
speaking
of
course).
But
the
idea
is
the
same:
the
dragon
is
here
to
weed
out
the
unwor-‐
thy
from
the
worthy.
And
until
all
your
insecurities,
impurities,
self-‐deceiving
patterns
of
behavior
are
weeded
out,
the
dragons
will
keep
coming
at
you;
its
just
part
of
the
game.
And
it’s
for
your
own
bene6it,
that’s
the
important
part
to
remember.
So
how
do
you
deal
with
the
dragon?
That
is
what
this
golden
key
is
all
about.
Usually,
what
people
do
is
either
quickly
give
up
their
high
hopes
immedi-‐
ately
upon
encountering
the
dragon
(because
that
was
the
last
thing
they
were
ready
to
encounter,
everyone
thinks
freedom
should
be
easy),
or
they
try
to
6ight
the
dragon
with
brute
force,
which
is
a
terrible
idea,
to
say
the
very
least.
Even
if
you
are
able
to
subdue
the
dragon
with
pure
force,
you
have
robbed
yourself
the
lesson
that
the
dragon
was
carrying,
and
therefore
on
the
way
to
an
even
more
powerful
dragon
somewhere
very
soon
down
the
road.
What
you
do
is
this:
you
observe,
especially
when
the
dragon
is
pounding
on
your
face.
Read
the
last
line
again.
However
dif6icult
it
is,
you
train
yourself
to
look
directly,
you
train
yourself
to
observe.
What
do
you
observe?
Two
things:
•
First
you
observe
the
dragon
itself,
which
helps
you
to
gather
very
valu-‐
able
information
about
how
the
dragon
operates,
its
psychology,
its
strengths,
weaknesses
and
strategies.
Most
people
get
so
blinded
by
rage
and
fear
that
16
they
learn
nothing
about
the
dragon
and
come
out
sorely
defeated
giving
away
all
sorts
of
clues
about
their
own
weaknesses.
•
But
more
importantly,
and
this
is
the
most
important
and
valuable
exer-‐
cise
out
of
this
entire
formula:
you
train
yourself
to
observe
your
own
brain
response,
your
automatic
patterns
of
behavior,
especially
when
the
dragon
is
breathing
6ire
on
your
face.
Read
the
last
line
as
many
times
as
necessary
un-‐
til
you
really
get
it.
What
you
will
6ind
is
this:
everyone
feels
like
the
Buddha
when
things
are
going
right,
when
you
are
in
the
arms
of
your
beloved,
when
you
just
got
a
truckload
of
money,
when
you
are
full
of
energy,
when
you
have
no
problems.
But
since
life
never
remains
that
way
forever,
only
when
the
dragon
is
threat-‐
ening
to
kill
you
is
when
you
6ind
out
what
you
truly
are.
You
discover
what
is
your
dominant
self
limiting
archetypal
pattern:
The
child?
(I
cannot
take
responsibility)
The
victim?
(It’s
their
fault,
entirely;
I
am
helpless,
clueless,
and
innocent)
The
prostitute?
(When
the
price
is
right,
I’ll
abandon
my
deepest
truth)
The
saboteur?
(I’ll
ruin
my
own
game
because
I
don’t
believe
I
deserve
it)
In
other
words,
you
6ind
out
which
archetypal
patterns
of
behavior
are
dominant
in
your
brain,
which
ones
take
you
over
when
stress
is
high
and
there
is
no
time
to
think
(something
called
a
neural
hijacking).
This
is
the
core
of
this
initiation:
Training
your
brain
to
observe
your
own
behavior.
In
a
little
more
technical
term
(close
your
eyes
if
you
are
scared
of
scien-‐
ti6ic
terms
and
read
the
next
paragraph):
training
your
executive
center
of
the
brain
(the
prefrontal
cortex)
to
observe
the
workings
of
the
emotional
brain
(the
activation
of
amygdala
and
its
associated
drama).
With
the
power
of
observation
comes
power
to
take
control.
In
other
words,
you
can
control
and
reprogram
your
unconscious
behavior
only
if
you
are
aware
of
it.
Whatever
you
are
unaware
of
is
what
will
control
you
from
17
the
shadows
and
you
will
forever
remain
a
slave
to
its
automatic
reactive
acti-‐
vation
processes.
When
you
develop
the
ability
to
observe
your
unconscious
repetitive
be-‐
havior,
you
discover
one
of
the
most
powerful
insights
that
both
ancient
spiri-‐
tuality
and
modern
neurosciences
agree
upon:
Who
you
think
you
are,
the
ego,
the
“me”,
is
nothing
but
a
synergistic
effect
of
many
brain
components
functioning;
it’s
a
dynamically
arising,
constantly
changing
phenomenon.
The
illusion
of
“me,
the
individual
entity
that
some-‐
how
lives
in
the
body”
is
just
that…
an
illusion
of
brain.
This
discovery
of
course
has
profound
implications
that
can
turn
your
life
upside
down
(if
it
doesn’t,
you
really
didn’t
think
about
it
deeply),
but
for
this
context
here
is
the
most
important
part:
This
means
you
can
reprogram
your
self
into
whatever
you
want.
It
all
begins
with
the
ability
to
observe
the
patterns
that
combine
to
make
you;
es-‐
pecially
those
patterns
that
lay
hidden
below
ordinary
waking
consciousness,
only
to
surface
when
there
is
con6lict.
(Read
the
last
line
again.)
This
ability
to
observe
is
the
beginning
of
freedom:
the
freedom
to
rede6ine
your
reality.
If
this
sounds
intimidating
or
complicated
already,
well
that’s
because
it
is.
The
ability
to
observe
the
dragon
and
gathering
information
while
its
tram-‐
pling
your
face
takes
time
to
master;
training
yourself
to
observe
your
own
be-‐
havior
under
stress
takes
even
more
diligent
training.
But
if
you
think
about
it,
there
is
nothing
more
important
in
life
if
you
want
to
be
free.
Nobody
said
it
was
going
to
be
easy,
it’s
simple
as
simple
gets,
but
not
easy;
yet
all
that
is
necessary
is
your
willingness
to
look
no
matter
how
tempt-‐
ing
it
is
to
look
away.
That’s
all
there
is
to
it:
train
yourself
to
look!
Train
your-‐
self
to
observe.
18
"ird Gold Key: Be Patient
Be
patient
–
these
two
simple
words
carry
so
much
weight
that
many
books
have
been
written
and
entire
religions
have
been
founded
around
it.
Be-‐
ing
patient
in
its
essence
means:
stop
:idgeting
mentally!
Stop
craving
for
something
else
in
some
other
future
moment,
accept
this
moment
as
it
is,
be-‐
cause
this
is
the
ONLY
point
of
contact
with
reality
you
will
EVER
have.
If
you
cannot
master
this
skill,
no
matter
how
ef6icient
you
get
in
making
money,
or
seducing
women,
or
controlling
your
family,
or
discovering
miraculous
cures
for
incurable
diseases,
you
personally
will
never
6ind
ful6illment
because
you
never
learned
the
most
important
skill
of
all
in
this
reality:
learning
to
be
pre-‐
sent;
which
is
the
same
as
learning
to
be
patient.
Being
patient
is
of
course
intimately
connected
with
the
ability
to
observe
and
remembering
your
goal.
Unless
you
can
remember
your
goal
(inner
free-‐
dom),
you
cannot
understand
the
signi6icance
of
your
reactions
and
behav-‐
iors
which
you
begin
to
see
when
you
start
observing;
and
if
you
cannot
ob-‐
serve
your
own
emotional
patterns,
you
cannot
be
patient
because
the
very
meaning
of
emotion
is
to
move
(from
Latin
emotere,
which
means
energy
in
motion).
Emotions
make
you
move,
makes
you
not
still,
which
makes
you
un-‐
able
to
observe.
The
power
of
observation
brings
with
it
the
ability
to
be
still,
which
illuminates
another
profound
truth:
Our
emotions
are
always
in
:lux:
they
are
always
changing,
no
matter
what
we
do,
what
we
have,
what
happens
to
us,
or
what
we
achieve.
An
anal-‐
ogy
sometimes
used
is
that
our
level
of
ful6illment
and
happiness
is
like
an
air
conditioner
set
at
a
certain
point
that
we
are
born
with,
lets
say
25
degrees
Celsius.
No
matter
what
we
do
externally,
our
brain
chemistry
is
pre-‐
programmed
to
keep
it
at
that
set
temperature.
We
can
startle
it
to
a
cool
19
degrees
by
earning
a
million
dollars
but
soon
enough
it
will
climb
back
to
25
degrees.
Or
we
can
suddenly
lose
all
our
money
and
experience
a
sweating
32
degrees,
but
even
then
soon
enough
we
will
come
back
to
experiencing
25
de-‐
grees.
This
doesn’t
intuitively
6it
very
well
with
what
we
want
to
believe
19
about
life,
but
all
studies
in
psychology
and
neurology
shows
this
to
be
cor-‐
rect.
This
explains
why
people
who
win
the
jackpot
million
dollar
lottery
es-‐
sentially
remains
the
same
people
as
who
they
were
before
they
won
the
lot-‐
tery;
(after
the
initial
excitement)
if
they
were
sunny
and
happy
they
remain
still
sunny
and
happy,
if
they
were
lonely
and
gloomy,
they
remain
still
lonely
and
gloomy.
So
what
does
that
mean
for
us
in
search
of
inner
freedom?
It
means
no
mat-‐
ter
what
you
do
externally,
there
is
no
such
thing
as
permanently
one
emo-‐
tion:
happiness.
What
there
is,
ironically,
is
one
permanent
state
you
can
im-‐
prison
yourself
in:
craving
happiness.
This
is
why
the
very
6irst
line
of
the
Buddhist
scripture
is:
life
is
suffering.
Life
is
suffering
because
we
are
forever
chasing
the
illusion
of
trying
to
retain
something
that
cannot
be
retained.
This
is
what
the
Lords
prayer
teaches
us
too
saying
lead
us
not
to
temptation.
The
temptation
is
forever
chasing
that
il-‐
lusion
of
“I
want
to
be
happy
forever!”
-‐
which
in
essence
means
a
steady
dose
of
happy
chemicals
in
the
brain:
serotonin,
dopamine
and
oxytocin.
Our
en-‐
tire
lives
go
by
as
we
keep
groping,
and
chasing
one
temptation
after
the
other,
forever
hoping
the
next
thing
is
what
will
6inally
make
us
happy
forever.
Learning
to
observe
teaches
us
to
look
directly
at
this
craving,
this
mental
6idgeting,
and
learn
about
the
myriad
ways
we
go
about
trying
to
alleviate
this
permanent
psychological
itch.
Patience
teaches
us
to
remain
quiet
and
calm
when
inevitably
the
stress
hormones
are
released;
bored,
lonely,
angry,
hungry,
frustrated,
sleepy,
tired,
pessimistic…
these
are
all
the
states
we
all
go
through
no
matter
what
our
life
circumstance
is.
Everyone
experiences
them,
and
even
if
you
are
married,
bil-‐
lionaire,
bestselling
author,
owner
of
a
villa
in
Tuscany,
travel
twice
monthly…
it
doesn’t
matter,
you
will
still
feel
all
of
those
things.
And
depending
on
your
pre-‐set
brain
chemistry,
you
will
also
experience
periodically
the
same
level
of
happiness
and
ful6illment
that
you
generally
feel,
with
some
6luctuations
of
up
and
down,
here
and
there.
20
Inner
freedom
is
the
freedom
to
act
smartly,
rationally,
with
clarity
and
wis-‐
dom,
even
when
these
inevitable
down
states
come
to
pass.
Inner
freedom
is
the
freedom
from
forever
being
dissatis6ied
because
nothing
you
ever
do
brings
you
that
illusion
of
permanent
happiness
into
reality.
Inner
freedom
is
freedom
from
craving.
And
that,
Buddha
says,
is
the
beginning
of
enlighten-‐
ment.
Which
brings
us
to
the
deeper
wisdom
of
being
patient:
surrender.
Stop
.idgeting
mentally!
This
means
you
allow
the
present
moment
to
be
as
it
is,
how
it
is,
because
it
is…
perfect
(even
when
the
dragon
is
pounding
your
face).
This
means
you
surrender
your
pre-‐programmed
prejudices,
your
pre-‐
conceived
ideas
about
how
things
should
be,
your
fantasies
about
what
will
make
you
happy,
and
you
live
this
present
moment
with
acceptance
and
seren-‐
ity.
You
remind
yourself
that
there
is
an
intelligent
force
that
is
beating
your
heart,
controlling
your
breath
when
you
are
not
thinking
about
it,
executing
liver
functions
and
6iring
the
100
billion
neurons
of
your
brain
that
is
allow-‐
ing
you
to
think.
None
of
this
is
within
your
control
right
now,
and
your
worry-‐
ing
egoic
self
didn’t
control
any
of
it
while
the
universe
evolved
for
about
13.8
billion
years
before
becoming
you.
Patience
is
another
name
for
surrender.
But
since
surrender
is
an
illusion
(surrender
to
what?
That
which
is
already
you?),
I
use
the
term
patience.
But
I
like
to
use
the
expression
stop
.idgeting
mentally
even
more.
Patience
is
the
high
wisdom
usually
gained
after
spending
a
lot
of
the
most
expensive
cur-‐
rency
in
the
world:
time.
It
teaches
us
one
of
the
most
profound
secrets
of
life:
this
moment
is
perfect.
If
you
can
only
stop
to
6idget,
if
you
can
stop
6ighting,
if
you
can
stop
saying
all
those
clever
or
hurtful
things
that
you
are
saying,
one
day
you
will
look
back
and
realize
with
profound
gratitude
how
perfectly
this
moment
was
weaved,
personally
for
you,
from
the
eternal
fabric
of
space
and
time,
cause
and
effect.
Patience
means
waiting
without
waiting
for
the
inevitable
to
occur.
If
you
re-‐
member
your
ultimate
goal,
if
you
have
dedicated
yourself
to
healing
your
hu-‐
21
man
madness,
if
you
have
committed
yourself
to
the
hero’s
journey,
the
guid-‐
ing
force
of
life
will
bring
you
exactly
those
situations,
people
and
challenges
that
will
help
you
achieve
your
goal
in
the
shortest
possible
time.
Patience
means
trusting
that
the
intelligence
that
knows
how
to
beat
your
heart
and
synchronize
trillions
of
cells
of
your
body,
keeps
the
sun
and
moon
and
galaxies
in
perfect
order
for
you
to
exist,
also
knows
what
is
best
for
you
at
this
present
moment.
When
you
are
able
to
accept
this,
you
can
relax,
no
matter
what
is
happening,
and
when
you
relax,
you
can
begin
to
pay
attention
(Gold
Key
#2),
and
when
you
pay
attention,
you
learn,
you
evolve
to
the
next
stage
of
your
personal
evolution.
Idiots
6ight;
remember
that,
for
all
things
are
One.
When
you
6ight,
you
are
6ighting
against
the
very
fabric
of
life
itself,
only
profound
ignorance
and
stupidity,
or
pure
greed
and
willful
cancer
like
behav-‐
ior,
can
explain
the
craving
to
6ight.
Finally,
when
you
embark
upon
an
adventure
that
has
no
end,
when
you
align
yourself
with
the
heartbeat
of
life,
which
is
evolution,
when
you
commit
yourself
to
the
hero’s
journey,
patience
is
the
critical
ingredient
for
maintain-‐
ing
sanity.
This
journey
dissolves
all
the
way
to
in6inity
and
even
contemplat-‐
ing
such
a
prospect
is
enough
make
a
human
brain
unstable.
Looking
at
in6in-‐
ity
is
the
similar
to
looking
at
the
sun,
only
in6initely
more
powerful.
To
accom-‐
modate
such
a
vision,
and
you
will
encounter
the
vision
once
in
a
while
on
the
journey
towards
total
freedom,
you
will
need
depth,
and
patience.
The
jour-‐
ney
to
in6inity
involves
all
eternity.
In
practical
everyday
circumstances,
patience
is
the
magic
that
you
use
to
transform
obstacles
and
grievances
into
miracles.
You
simply
allow
things
to
be;
more
than
that,
you
learn
to
6low
with
whatever
that
arises.
You
suspend
judgment
and
prejudice.
If
what
is
arising
is
bringing
you
pain,
you
have
two
choices:
a.
Take
action,
only
if
you
are
full
energy.
b. Be
patient,
observe,
learn
and
realize
that
this
discomfort
has
been
de-‐
signed
precisely
and
personally
for
you:
so
you
can
overcome
your
laziness
and
move
ahead
in
full
speed.
And
you
discover
that
maybe,
just
maybe,
it’s
22
really
not
about
them,
it’s
entirely
about
you,
because
somewhere
along
the
way
you
made
a
commitment,
a
commitment
to
become
completely
free.
This
is
just
part
of
that
training.
When
you
are
truly
clear
about
what
is
your
chosen
goal
(for
us,
for
now,
its
complete
inner
freedom),
when
you
have
developed
the
ability
to
observe
yourself
in
con6lict
(observe
the
automatic
patterns
of
behavior)
and
also
ob-‐
serve
the
dragon
in
the
middle
of
the
con6lict
(paying
attention
to
what
the
source
of
the
con6lict
is
requesting
of
you),
and
when
you
have
developed
the
wisdom
of
being
patient
without
mentally
6idgeting…
you
gather
enough
en-‐
ergy
to
sense
the
movement
of
providence,
the
way
the
river
of
life
6lows,
which
is
another
way
of
saying
you
begin
to
feel
time.
Feeling
time
means,
above
all,
you
are
able
to
surf
the
ocean
of
life,
and
have
lost
all
interest
in
even
entertaining
the
hilarious
notion
of
6ighting
with
life.
Well,
how
do
you
learn
to
surf?
The
6irst
thing
is,
of
course,
you
have
to
stop
6ighting,
stop
struggling,
start
accepting
and
start
paying
attention
to
the
movement
of
the
waves,
forget
about
how
you
want
the
ocean
to
behave
and
start
preparing
for
the
next
wave
you
want
to
ride.
As
you
can
probably
sense,
this
is
a
subtle
art,
but
more
than
that
let
me
assure
you
this
is
a
practical
deci-‐
sion
that
requires
full
sanity.
Our
brains
are
full
of
behavior
patterns
that
we
inherited
from
the
animal
kingdom:
our
aggressive
behaviors,
instinctive
love
for
only
that
which
we
can
accommodate
within
our
circle
of
“me
and
my”,
total
indifference
towards
everything
else,
and
our
impulses
to
6ight,
are
all
patterns
of
behavior
we
are
hardwired
with.
These
patterns
are
part
of
what
make
us
the
top
predators
of
planet
earth,
the
godlike
rulers
on
top
of
the
food
chain;
they
worked
very
well
for
us
till
now.
But
they
won’t
help
us
very
much
if
we
want
to
graduate
to
the
next
level
of
evolution.
When
beings
capable
of
in6inite
magic
act
like
23
monkeys,
we
get
the
world
we
are
living
in
today:
we
are
more
prosperous
and
powerful
than
ever
before,
yet
we
are
also
more
worried
and
stressed
than
ever
before.
So
what
is
the
solution?
The
solution
is
being
truly
sick
and
tired
of
mind-‐
lessly
suffering,
of
doing
the
same
things
over
and
over
and
expecting
different
results,
of
making
the
same
mistakes
over
and
over
again.
In
other
words,
the
solution
is
truly
stop
playing
games
with
yourself
and
making
a
real
decision
to
follow
the
deepest
truth
within
your
heart,
at
all
times,
without
exception.
The
solution
is
following
the
previous
three
gold
keys:
know
your
ultimate
goal,
pay
attention
to
your
stored
neurological
patterns
of
behavior,
stop
6idg-‐
eting
mentally
and
be
patient…
when
you
do
that,
you
can
practice
this
fourth
gold
key:
feel
time.
Feeling
time
means
knowing
what
to
do,
and
when
to
do
it.
It
means
being
so
attuned
with
the
dance
of
life
that
your
entire
being
merges
with
it.
When
you
are
One
with
the
6low
of
life,
with
the
information
6low
that
connects
all
things
and
beings,
you
begin
to
move
with
it,
and
then
when
the
time
is
right,
you
begin
to
move
it
-‐
this
is
the
essence
of
life
magic.
Time
is
key.
But
more
importantly
than
that,
a
completely
lack
of
sel6ishness
is
absolute
prerequi-‐
site
for
anyone
whose
ultimate
goal
is
freedom.
Here
is
another
way
of
understanding
the
profound
magic
that
is
time:
The
willingness
to
follow
the
deepest
truth
of
the
present
moment
no
matter
how
dif.icult
it
may
seem.
Like
all
magic,
this
too
requires
a
keyword
to
acti-‐
vate
its
awesome
powers,
remember
this
carefully:
love.
When
you
use
this
magic,
the
structure
of
reality
itself
will
change,
causing
a
rupture
in
the
fab-‐
ric
of
cause
and
effect
by
transcending
time,
making
this
the
most
powerful
magic
imaginable.
In
that
sense,
this
is
not
really
magic,
but
a
miracle.
Like
all
miracles,
this,
too,
is
not
subject
to
limits
of
size
or
orders
of
dif6iculty.
But
re-‐
member
the
keyword:
love,
for
without
it,
the
magic
destroys
the
one
who
un-‐
leashes
it.
Feeling
time
means
knowing
when
to
be
still
and
when
to
take
effortless
action
with
absolute
elegance.
This
only
becomes
possible
when
you
have
24
gained
substantial
energy
by
practicing
the
previous
three
gold
keys.
Without
enough
energy,
you
will
never
be
able
to
tell
time.
Without
transcending
sel6-‐
ish
desires,
all
that
is
visible
are
mirages
and
scenes
from
ones
own
stored
patterns
of
nightmares.
This
is
where
the
circle
closes
upon
itself.
Life
is
of
course
meaningless
if
you
have
no
desires,
no
dreams,
no
hopes,
no
overwhelming
urge
to
attempt
the
impossible.
But
there
is
a
right
way
of
going
about
it
and
a
dysfunctional
way
of
going
about
it.
Once
you
have
mastered
the
previous
four
keys,
you
are
ready
to
learn
the
most
coveted
secret
of
all:
how
to
rede6ine
your
reality
and
live
in
your
own
dreams.
Once
again,
the
secret
is
quite
simple
really…
all
you
have
to
do
is
remem-‐
ber
what
you
want
and
actually
truly
want
it.
You
don’t
start
talking
about
it,
you
don’t
start
jumping
up
and
down,
you
don’t
run
around
pushing
things
to
hurry
up,
you
do
nothing
but
simply
remember
at
all
times
what
is
it
that
you
want.
This
is
silent
will.
When
you
are
not
divided,
when
you
have
truly
decided
upon
that
which
you
want,
the
great
wheel
of
providence
immediately
begins
to
move
and
all
things
unforeseen
start
to
come
together.
Usually,
however,
when
we
make
our
decision
initially,
we
are
far
from
ready,
and
further
transformation
is
nec-‐
essary.
As
it
says
in
the
Bible…
Figs
do
not
grow
on
thistles,
nor
grapes
on
thorns.
We
have
to
be
ready
to
receive
that
which
we
so
desire
in
our
reality.
And
that
usually
involves
a
journey
of
transformation,
the
hero’s
journey,
of
meet-‐
ing
the
dragons
and
slaying
our
inner
demons,
fears
and
dysfunctional
pat-‐
terns
of
behavior.
In
other
words,
we
have
to
learn
to
observe:
our
own
behav-‐
25
ioral
patterns
primarily,
and
the
way
the
dragon
(life
itself)
moves
secondar-‐
ily,
especially
in
moments
of
con6lict.
Next
we
have
to
remember
that
(in
the
words
of
King
Solomon)…
For
everything
there
is
a
time
and
season
for
all
occasions
under
the
heaven.
This
means
being
patient
and
having
absolute
conviction
(faith
if
you
like
that
word
more)
that
once
you
follow
this
formula,
it
is
inevitable
that
what
you
seek
will
come
to
reality.
But
there
is
a
time
and
a
season
for
all
things
un-‐
der
the
heaven.
You
remain
calm
and
wait
without
waiting.
You
gain
energy.
When
you
have
enough
energy,
the
time
will
soon
be
ripe
enough
to
act,
and
it
will
be
time
to
do
what
needs
to
be
done.
This
is
the
time
to
take
that
step,
make
that
move,
and
do
what
is
necessary
to
do.
It
seems
like
after
all
the
preparation,
this
step
should
be
easy,
but
its
not.
Usually
we
are
terri6ied
when
that
moment
of
truth
arrives
and
we
hesitate
to
take
action,
because
it’s
one
thing
to
fantasize
great
things
and
quite
another
thing
to
seize
the
mo-‐
ment
and
actually
make
those
great
things
happen.
And
if
in
our
hesitation
that
moment
passes
us
by,
everything
is
lost.
The
great
bird
of
freedom
comes
to
us
all
but
it
has
no
patience
for
hesitation.
When
you
use
this
simple
formula
again
and
again,
you
begin
to
appreciate
the
astounding
power
and
elegance
of
silent
will,
and
you
begin
to
live
life
as
the
fantastic
magical
being
that
you
really
are.
"at’s it.

And in case if y# are wonde'ng...
I am not fond of self promotion. I believe the teacher always arrives when the stu-
dent is ready. All you have to do is be ready and the way shall open. Still, one of
my old students requested that I include this message clearly...
You are not alone on this great journey of self discovery.
If you need a teacher, someone you can talk to, someone who can give you that ex-
tra push or that critical pull when necessary... I am here for you. When you feel
