Echo of Life!
Once, a father and a son decided to spend holidays in the
mountains. They were travelling through the mountains the
next day. The son was playing with the sticks and stones on
the path. He suddenly got hurt and shouted loudly, “Ahhh!”
He heard the same word repeated from somewhere else in
the mountain. He thought someone is just shouting back at him.

12
The son asked, “Who are you?” He heard the same question from
the other end of the mountains. He again shouted, “Are you mad?”
The voice repeated the same words. He was puzzled with what was
going on and asked his father who was watching everything silently.

The father explained to his son that the other voice is a simple echo.
It just reflects what we say. He then explained to his son that our life
is also like an echo. If you say good things and think good about
others, people will also say good things about you. Whatever you do
or say, will get repeated for you. Therefore, we should always be
careful about what we say and do.

The son understood and shouted back, “I’m a good boy.” The echo
repeated the same words. The boy was happy. He learned that to
get the same response, we have to first behave well with all.

This story helps your child in learning a life lesson that like an
echo you will get to hear what you say to others. Behave
well with people, and people will behave well with you.
