HLAC 1000—CARDIO FITNESS ePortfolio Signature Assignment

This assignment is a culmination of your experience in a Lifelong Wellness (LW) course at SLCC. It is
meant to be thoughtful and data driven. Please refer to the information presented in class, pre- and
post-assessments, goals and cardio logs for the successful completion of this assignment. There are
two parts to this assignment, BOTH must be completed for a passing grade. “0” will be given if it is not
linked correctly to you ePortfolio site and only uploaded in CANVAS. DO NOT wait ‘til the last second!

PART 1: For each of the following questions a paragraph response is required. A paragraph is defined as 5
complete sentences with little to no spelling, grammar, or punctuation errors. There are 3 questions that need
to be answered thoughtfully, using information from class. Points will be lost of the above criteria are not met.

1. Of the information presented in class and/or as a result of fitness assessments, tracking progress
through cardio logs, goals, and/or guided workouts what is the largest “take-away” that you have
gained from participation in this class? Why? Use specific examples and references to course content.

So, wake up in the morning come to class. Start working out with my classmates to reach our goals was biggest
things to in this class. That was huge things we done it so far. I learned so many things in this class. But
reaching the goals was biggest challenge to me. I done it really good.

2. How do you plan to apply the new knowledge you have gained as a result of class participation in your
life’s journey? Why? Be specific in your future plans and why you choose to implement them.

This class was lesson to me. Because I took the class for the reason. And I will keep going what I done in this
class so far it was part of my future goals. In I stared my cardio works out I will continue moving forward to
reach the others goals.

3. In what ways does the knowledge and information gained (and applied) as a result of this course relate
or add to other courses you have taken or intend to take in the future? i.e. other fitness courses, health
courses, or any other meaningful connections that can be made to specific courses. …and WHY?
This course was very short to gain a lot of information, but wasn’t really bad. Its was small class and we have a
lot of fun. Professor was so helpful with all the info.
PART 2: Include in your assignment a work sample of a victory from this course and write a paragraph about
why you chose to include it. For example, you can include your pre- and post- assessments to show a gain
in cardio fitness and then write about what it was like and what it means to you to have worked toward
that improvement. Think about the significance of what you choose to include and be thoughtful!
