-Completed a Global EDGE Project. A t SUU there is a series of classes that we take in order to
graduate, called EDGE, that give us real-life experience according to what we study. They
are classes that help us plan and carry out a project that will better prepare us for the future
in our careers and in life-long learning. I initiated, planned, and carried out a “Global EGE
Project”. I did a study abroad in Cusco, Peru for four weeks through SUU. I was an intern at a
local medical clinic and I also took upper-level Spanish classes. I learned medical terminology
and I obtained basic healthcare skills.

Experience

Pasta Factory
Bus Boy / December 2014 – May 2015
I washed the dishes, cleaned off tables and eating areas, refilled soda machines, cleaned
bathrooms, and assisted in cooking some food.

The Leavitt Group

Lead Development Representative / August 2017-December 2017
It is a call center where I made calls to people who had applied online for a free insurance
quote through banks or insurance companies that work with The Leavitt Group. I gathered
their basic information and transferred them to licensed agents who sold the insurance
policies.

Extracurricular

LDS Missionary
I served in the Mexico Pachuca Mission for 2 years. 2015-2017. I was a leader for the last year
and a half of my mission. I did many service projects. I painted houses, moved people in,
remodeled homes, helped them have more spiritual and righteous lives, and many other
service related activities.
Needs Beyond Medicine Intern
Fall semester of 2017 and spring semester at SUU I was an intern for a non-profit organization
called, “Needs Beyond Medicine”. It is a non-profit organization that raises money from the
community and gives that money to people who have cancer so that they can pay for their
needs beyond medicine. It’s money they use to pay for rent, groceries, and other things like
that so that they don’t have to stress about their hospital bills as much. As an intern we were
asked to give seminars raising cancer awareness and also letting the community know about
this organization. We also helped start fundraising opportunities in order to help the
organization grow.
“The Nest” SUU Nutrition Center Volunteer
I was a volunteer during the fall semester at SUU at “The Nest” helping the SUU athletes with
their nutritional needs. The center is a gym next to the football field where the SUU athletes
would periodically workout with their coaches. After their workouts they are provided with
choices of food/snacks to help them take care of their bodies and to help them recover from
their workouts. As a volunteer I would set out all of the food/snacks and I would prepare bags
of protein and other supplements. I also would make sure that the food was properly cared
for.
North Elementary School Volunteer
From January of 2018 to May of 2018 I volunteered at North Elementary School. I helped a
teacher named Julie Westwood, who is the main science teacher at the elementary school,
with her class. I helped her keep the kids on task and I helped her set up/clean up science
experiments that taught basic science knowledge to the kids. I learned a lot about how to
communicate and help children learn, specifically science.
