INSTRUCTIONS
Motif (make 15).
Note: Ch 2 at beg of rnd does not count as st.

With A, ch 6. Join with sl st to first ch to form a ring.
1st rnd: Ch 2. *(Yoh and draw up a loop in ring) 3 times. Yoh and
draw through all loops on hook – cluster made. Ch 3. Rep from
* 5 times more. Join with sl st to top of first cluster. Fasten off.
2nd rnd: Join B with sl st to any ch-3 sp. Ch 2. (Cluster. Ch 3) twice
in same sp as sl st. *(Cluster. Ch 3) twice in next ch-3 sp. Rep from
* 4 times more. Join with sl st to top of first cluster. Fasten off.
3rd rnd: Join C with sl st to any ch-3 sp. Ch 2. (Cluster. Ch 3) twice
in same sp as sl st. **(Cluster. Ch 3) in next ch-3 sp. (Cluster. Ch 3)
twice in next ch-3 sp. Rep from * 4 times more. (Cluster. Ch 3) in
next ch-3 sp. Join D with sl st to top of first cluster. Break C.
4th rnd: With D, ch 2. *(2 hdc. Ch 2. 2 hdc) in next ch-3 sp. (3 hdc
in next ch-3 sp) twice. Rep from * 5 times more. Join E with sl st to
first hdc. Break D.
5th rnd: With E, ch 2. *1 hdc in each hdc to next ch-2 sp. (2 hdc.
Ch 2. 2 hdc) in next ch-2 sp. Rep from * 5 times more. 1 hdc in
each hdc to end of rnd. Join F with sl st to first hdc. Break E.
6th rnd: With F, ch 1. *1 sc in each hdc to next ch-2 sp. (1 sc. Ch 1.

end of rnd. Join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off.
With RS of Motifs facing each other and F, work 1 row of sc to
crochet Motifs tog as shown on Chart, noting at each corner
of bottom edge, one side of Motif will be folded in half and

 Straps: (make 2). Optional: Lining: Cut fabric to 16” x 35” [40.5 x 89 cm].
With 1 strand each of E and F held tog, ch 84. Fold in half lengthwise and stitch sides tog using a ½”
1st rnd: 1 dc in 4th ch from hook. 1 dc in each ch to end [1 cm] seam allowance. Fold over ½” [1 cm] seam allowance
of ch. Working into rem loops along opposite side of ch, work along top edge of lining and sew 1” [2.5 cm] below top
1 dc in each ch to end of ch. Ch 1. Do not fasten off. edge of Bag.
Fold Strap in half lengthwise with RS facing each other ASSEMBLY DIAGRAM
(WS of last rnd will show). Join Strap by working 1 sl st Front

Sew Straps to WS 4” [10 cm] in from side edges of Bag (see
picture).
