Supplication to be Protected During a Journey
Just before a person proceeds on a journey, the following
supplication should be recited three times in his or her
right ear and then three times in his or her left ear so that
Insh°-All°h, one will return back home safely:

Supplication to Have a Speedy
Reply to a Letter Written
It has been narrated from Im°m M£s° ibn Ja`far al-
K°zim a that he said: When you intend to write a letter
and need to get a fast reply to it, then on the top of your
letter, write the following Du`°:

Supplication for Asking Forgiveness
The Angel Jibr°’¢l brought this du°` to the
Prophet e who was instructed to teach it to his Ummah
and it has been narrated that whoever recites it, writes it
and keeps it with ones’ self will have a great return (from
All°h).

Supplication to Have One’s Repentance Accepted
It has been narrated from Im°m Mu¶ammad ibn `Al¢ al-
B°qir a that the ‘words’ which Prophet ™dam a was
taught through which he asked forgiveness from
All°h i and it was accepted are the following:

A Great Supplication from Prophet Daw£d
While Prophet Daw£d a was busy supplicating to
All°h i and praising Him, the revelation came to
Prophet Daw£d a from All°h that he had put the Two
Noble Angels (Kir°m al-K°tib¢n) into much difficulty in
trying to write down the reward (thaw°b) for this
supplication:

A Powerful Supplication by which
Prophet `Is° a was Lifted Up Into the Heavens
It has been narrated from Im°m Ja`far ibn Mu¶ammad as-
Æ°diq a that the Prophet had said: “The Jews had joined
together to murder `Isa ibn Mariam a when the Angel
Jibra’¢l covered him with his wings. When Prophet `Is°
looked up, he saw a supplication written on the inside of
the wing of Jibra’¢l.”
The Prophet of Isl°m e then said, “I swear by All°h who
holds my life in His hands, there is not a single believer
who recites this supplication with sincerity except that the
Noble `Arsh and the seven Heavens and the seven Earths
shake and All°h the Most High says to his Angels: ‘You
bear witness that I have accepted this person’s
supplication and whatever he wants in this world and in
the Hereafter, I have granted it unto him.’”
