ASTM A 106 / A 106M

Seamless Carbon Steel Pipe for High Temperature Service

Scope

The material specification covers in this ASTM Code governs the following Pipe Sizes:
1) Measurement in Inches: Lowest Pipe Size NPS1⁄8 to Highest Pipe Size NPS 48 Inclusive
2) Measurement in mm: DN 6to DN 1200 Inclusive,
NPS i.e. Nominal Pipe Size, and DN i.e. Diameter Nominal has been substituted traditional term
as stated below:
a) Nominal diameter,
b) Size, and
c) Nominal Size.
Nominal (average) Wall Thickness shall be referred from ASME B 36.10M (Welded and
Seamless Wrought Steel Pipe).
