I am Maria Ariza Roque, a public senior high school teacher in the Philippines.

I am currently handling
English language and literature subjects for grades 11 and 12. I have also taught Asian, American and
World literature to Grade 7-8 students.

Aside from teaching in high school, I can also attend to elementary and early childhood learners. Since, I
have had my tutorial experience in my previous job added to the fact that I am a mother of two
adorable and incredible kids. I am very ambitious to make a significant difference in the lives of children
and am confident that this eagerness and passion will go a long way in contributing to your school.

Previously, I have worked as a Tutor Supervisor/ Tutor in a student center where I developed the
expertise in classroom management – which is the prime base for any classroom. I am highly skilled in
providing one-on-one assistance to students, assisting in the implementation of the curriculum,
educating children and families by meeting program goals, and helping in meeting individual needs of
children.

Comprehending the fact that a teacher’s time is valuable because I have been teaching for 6 years now, I
know just how to make use of available resources to create interactive activities for young students. My
ability to make independent decisions, working with minimum supervision and taking criticism positively
has been the prime reasons behind my success in the educational arena.

I am willing to work overtime. My knowledge in journalism will also be my edge in doing related reports
and documentation. The institution is assured that I will give my 110% in all the activities.
