ImageNow Connector for SAP ArchiveLink Installation and Setup Guide

Overview
This guide provides pre-installation, installation, and setup instructions for Perceptive Connector for SAP
ArchiveLink. The connector integrates with the ArchiveLink API protocol provided by SAP to enable
content management systems as a storage subsystem platform for documents, print list, and data
archiving from SAP.

By configuring SAP to store documents, print list, and data in Perceptive Content via the connector, the
performance of the SAP storage system is improved, while mainting easy user access directly to these
objects from within the SAP desktop and browser client interfaces.
There are two components to the Connector for SAP ArchiveLink:

• A required SAPALink Content Server installed on the Perceptive Content Server for integration
between the SAP Application server and the Perceptive Content Server

• An optional SAP ArchiveLink client installed on the client workstation where the SAP desktop client
and Perceptive Content client area installed to provide an optional integration point between the SAP
desktop client and Perceptive Content desktop client enabling linking and viewing documents from
SAP.
Note It is recommended to utilize the available SAP ECL Viewer, WebNow, or Perceptive Experience
viewer for viewing of SAP attachment documents.
