Unit Goals:
Students will be able to understand Spanish greetings and farewells to use in a conversation
Students will engage in conversations to communicate with their classmates by using Spanish greeting and farewells
Students will be able to identify and apply greetings and farewell phrases in Spanish
Students will create a written dialogue/conversation in Spanish
Students will participate in a class presentation where they will present their graphic organizer scenario to the class

Unit Summary:
One of the essence of the Spanish language is to be able to communicate and participate in conversations with classmates to gain valuable
experiences in the Spanish Language class. In the Greetings and farewells unit students will be learning about the different greetings and
farewells used the Spanish Language. They will learn about the difference between using formal and informal greetings/farewells in a
conversation. As well as learning about the most common greetings and farewells in Spanish. Students will participate in two class
presentation. In the first one they will introduce themselves to a partner in front of the class. In the next presentation they will be
presenting their created graphic organizer scenario dialogue to the class. After the activities planned and the assessments administered
throughout the unit students will be able to effectively use greetings and farewells in a Spanish conversation.
