There is yet no official procedure to shut down the node. In this case the following
procedure can be used however.
Main purpose is to make sure that at least one side of CP and IOG/APG
could be made safe from any unexpected power glitches or shocks during complete
power shutdown.
Power down:
Connect Local Terminal to Node B(BDC).
Give: prcboot -s from the terminal.
Restart window will popup.
Remove the power cables from both PDC and BDC simultaneously.
Warning! Powering off both nodes simultaneously is crucial for the integrity on the
cluster.
At this stage CP-B is powered-off and both APG40 nodes are powered off all other
equipment are up and running
a.Power down CP-A using toggle switch POU . (ONLY FOR APZ 212 33)
At this stage both CP sides are powered-off and one of IOG node is powered off and in
case of APG40 both nodes are powered off .
b.Power down IOG node a by using toggle button on POU board . (ONLY FOR IOG20C
)
c.Now power off All equipment starting from first APZ , IOG or APG40 then all APT
from Power distribution cabinet. (fuses)
Note In this case the node has no traffic and will be removed.
1. If not already in shutdown state or waiting in BIOS, then shutdown the BDC
(Node B).
AP Command:
prcboot -s
2. Wait and make sure that the BDC is in shutdown state and that it does not reboot.
3. If not already in shutdown state or waiting in BIOS, then shutdown the PDC
(Node A).
AP Command:
prcboot -s
4. Wait and make sure that the PDC is in shutdown state and that it does not reboot.
5. Remove the power cables from both APG40 nodes at the same time.
