EXPERIENCE
JANUARY 2017 – CURRENT
EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNITION, PRN AMBULANCE
As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) my responsibilities include:
providing patient care, writing patient care reports, taking reports from doctors and nurses,
communicating proficiently and effectively with hospital staff and co-workers, transporting
patients, cleaning and operating ambulance equipment, presenting myself in a professional,
courteous and punctual way, and preforming related duties deemed necessary to meet the needs of
the company. I always make my patients feel comfortable by listening to their problems and needs
and taking intervention as necessary. As a result, I create a pleasant working environment. I must
work as a team with my partner who may change from day to day and who often is a stranger to
me at the beginning of the shift.

MAY 2013 – CURRENT

LIFEGUARD/SWIM INSTRUCTOR, RANCHO SIMI RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT
As a lifeguard I watch over the patrons of the pool to ensure that they remain safe. A main duty of
a swimming instructor is to calmly, and assertively maintain authority over a class despite
hysteria, fear, disobedience, and distractions. I am there to encourage, guide, and push my students
to venture for learning a skill which is often terrifying for them. I have also trained junior
lifeguards in the summer of 2017 in first-aid, sun safety, rescue skills, CPR, and rescue breathing.
I have had to push myself out of my comfort zone by teaching adults sometimes twice my age in a
"Parent and Me" class. I taught the parents how to introduce their children to the water even
though I have no children of my own to base my experience on. This job requires good customer
service and people skills. In addition I had to perform some physical labor to maintain, set-up and
clean the facility. I have taught hundreds of children and even adults how to swim despite their
phobias, age, and other disabilities. In my late teens I grew by helping others with a positive and
professional attitude. Through this job I gained plenty of experience by interacting with people at
work.

AUGUST 2015 – JUNE 2016

AFTER SCHOOL CLUB COUNSELOR, RANCHO SIMI RECREATION AND PARK
DISTRICT BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL CLUB
As an after-school club counselor I looked after the children in the club, maintained discipline, and
provided support, encouragement, and comfort to children from preschool to fifth grade. I created
activities and taught classes for the children including art class, choir, and story-time. I played
games with the children, taught them social skills, provided guidance, and developed a personal
relationship with them all. I had to enhance my people skills, patience, understanding, and team
work.
